I used to gamble alot during my first yr of college..... only hockey, basketball, and football........prolly gambled about 60 to 100 bucks a day..then my bookie had to move away....Im glad I dont do that shit anymore. it becomes a consuming habit.... I'm only about 2 hours from Reno/Tahoe so both the wife and I love to gamble. 21, 1$ slots and Let it Ride. Never went big on sports though. I always had a hard time with the house taking a % if you won but not refunding you the same if you lost. I love Vegas. Hop a plane for 100$ RT and you are there in 45 min. IP: Logged |

Since we have river gambling, f-kin boat bouncing up all over. In st.Louis there is a major large river everywhere. The town didn't have gambling problem. Know you hear of people coughing up thier house because they got in over thier heads. Turned into a big problem. They are going after the senior citizens - that realy pisses me off. They have a bus route set-up and it takes them straight to ship dinner and they fed them first and then let them gamble. Me I play Black Jack about once a year. Normally take them for about $50.00. To hard to make the stuff just to give it to them. I hope they couch and die on it some day. Ohh here's the real kicker - everyone voted for it here because,50% was going to the schools. You know the fukkin state pulls out what ever the casinos contributes. So the schools have never gotten one fukkin penny more than they had before. Make you wantta shoot a politician. Actually, I've been to many of the boats in St.Louis too, cleaner. I even took the time to memorize all possible moves to take in blackjack. (%wise) And since they use eight decks, it is tough to come out ahead. You need to "hedge your bets" though, because if you just "flat bet" you have to win more hands than the house. And that's tough to do, and if you aren't able to take advantage of the doubles and the splits, you're gonna lose for sure. I even count cards, but only if I'm not drinking, it requires way too much concentration. The game can be beat, but you have to have a plan. delts ------------------ IP: Logged |

I live close to Tunica so I go down and play 7 card stud, Craps and Blackjack all of the time. I have a buddy that goes down 6 to 8 times a month. I would call him a degenerate but he is one of the best damn poker players I have ever seen and rarely looses.
