you know how in the movie norton tells you that pitt puts subliminal messages in the movies he cuts? he puts a 1/30 th second clip of porno in his movies, and it registers subconsciously but the viewer doesn't realize it.
apparently that is an inside joke.
if you watch the movie there are 1/30 second images of tyler (pitt) that flash on and off throughout the movie.
when norton is talking to his doctor about insomnia in the beginning of the movie a 1/30 second clip of pitt shows up next to the doctor. also when the movie just starts and norton is in the office it happens too.
i don't know what they were trying to do. but it is interesting to find out what their intentions were.
i am going to read the book soon.
i liked the movie, the idea behind it.

fight club is fucking tight!!! i love that movie, yeah i noticed that, too how they slipped in the stuff. at first i was like, hey what the hell's goin on? then when they showed him putting the porno's in, it hit me.
fight club is such a cool movie, it's like a totally different movie the second time you see it.

i'm currently going to pursue the job of being the projector guy in the movie theaters and get to work, hehehe.

Fight Club is the best social commentary in a movie that I have ever seen, not to mention a bad-ass menatlity and good fights. I read the book and I think they compliment each other well, although the movie leaves a little something to be desired at the end. The reason why they kept splicing that in was to tip you off that Tyler was Jack, and Jack had Tyler inside of him before he "met" Tyler in the airplane...Beercan, maybe this movie isn't for you but #1 it was the best performance of Pitt's life, and will always be #2 Norton was pathetic as Jack and insane in the end, exactly how the narrator was supposed to be #3 the effects, the production, the direction, all spliced with that awesome thumping Dust Brothers soundtrack gave me a better experience in the theatre than anything I have ever seen. Maybe you should see it again, bro.

I have Fight Club playing as I type this. I FUCKIN' love the movie and book. I've also read Chuck Palahniuk's other books, both very good. I think that both Norton and Pitt were great. Later-John

How was he even close to better in 12 Monkeys??? I don't go by award shows, nominations, and bs, just what I see on the screen, and this was his best, most motivated role ever. BTW his secnd best was Legends of the Fall, and just because he acted crazy in 12 Monkeys doesn't mean anything...have you ever heard or read an interview with this guy? He IS CRAZY, and says and thinks strange things, so I really don't think he was acting all that unusual for 12 Monkeys.
