Whats up guys? I recieved this news clip this morning in my mail from infobeat. I found it pretty interesting.

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A New York lawmaker is recommending mandatory drug testing for professional wrestlers competing in his state, saying it's not a jab at the simulated violence but a way to protect children trying to emulate their heroes. "Almost all other major professional sports have adopted similar requirements for legal participation," said Republican Sen. Thomas Libous. Drug testing as part of the state's licensing requirements would show fans the wrestlers are drug-free, plus it would improve the level of competition and protect the health of the wrestlers, he said. World Wrestling Federation officials say it's a plan that hits below the belt. "We are performers, we are showmen, he'd be drug testing everyone on Broadway. He'd be drug testing the circus," said WWF Entertainment chairman Vince McMahon. "If in fact he's trying to single us out, that is unconstitutional," McMahon said.

Wrestlers seeking licenses to compete in New York already must give references, divulge any criminal history and submit to a pre-match physical. Libous' proposal would take that a step further by adding the drug tests and punishment for wrestlers who fail them. Wrestlers who tested positive for drugs one time would be prohibited from wrestling in the state for 24-hours under the proposal. A second positive test would strip them of the license for a year and fine their sponsors $25,000. A third would mean a permanent ban from New York competition and $100,000 fine for the sponsors.

I agree with Vinny-Mac, it is bullshit. Wrestlers are preformers. Actors and athletes. Why should wrestlers be tested and tv or movie stars not. As for testing in other sports, why is it that everyone except for the fucking lawmakers and joe blow average know they are a fucking joke. How many big names in football get a positive test. Not many. There is too much money to be lost. When will the bullshit government regulation end.

That is pretty stupid, that means almost all of the wrestlers will not be able to compete. Fuck that, if I were Vince I would not perform in New york

Vince should tell NY to kiss his ass. The WWF doesnt need NY. Did you see the crowd at Charlotte, NC last night on RAW? Charlotte is the home of several WCW stars and used to be a Turner/WCW only kind of town. The WWF has taken over. They pretty much own the majority of the market everywhere now.

I agree, the wwf does not need to stage shows in new york but there are a lot of wwf fans there. Although wwf headquarters in in Conn. they are considered a NY based operation. And madison square garden is a hell of a spot for a raw or ppv. If it does come to it Vince will fight this shit like only vinny can. P.S. what the hell has HHH been on. Look at tapes from 2 years ago and look at him now--ripped about 20 lbs bigger and his arms just fucking awesome. Any info anyone?? or ideas???

That story was out a long long time ago on tv...... There are some cities that WWF wont goto because they have already initiated such laws for AS testing before competitions. I think one of them is in washington state or something like that but anyways, yea I have heard about NY trying to do that shit.....They are gettin ridiculous with this "War On Drugs" ...they should have a WAR ON POVERTY, WAR ON POLITICAL FRAUD, WAR ON RACISM, WAR ON ABUSE, drug abusers are one of the last things Im worried about...people do that to themselves and if they cant handle it then let em fuckin DIE

Hulk Hogan once said he gained all his muscle by lifting weights, eating right, and saying his prayers! HAHAHA. Jesse Ventura admmited using Tes in his book. It is sad that kids think they can get that way naturally. It really sets them up for disapointment-
PS There is nothing in the US Constitution about steroid testing.

This shit of hiding behind children is getting very weak...Soon it won't work and they'll have to find a new angle to fuck us with..
