Well for those of you who read my previous rant about getting fucked and being sent to Fort Hood, I got some rather pleasing news this morning. I was given a NAVIGATOR slot. This could put me in the back seat of an f-15, so I am not complaining. Additionally, I still may get a pilot slot which would even kick further ass...We should know about the pilot slot thing in a few weeks... I am not going to be stuck in the armpit of the universe...For those of you who don't know where Fort Hood is, it is in Killeen TX. If you have ever been to Killeen, then you would know how much that would suck. Anyway, just wanted to share the good news. Out, IP: Logged |

killeen does suck ass bro. I had some friends down in fort hood in like 95 but i dont know if they are still there. If you meet anyone from grand saline or any of the other little shit towns in east texas tell em moe dank said f u. good luck in the worst place on earth. IP: Logged |

Awesome I don't care what your doing in an F-15. That rocks - I would love just one chance to fly in one. Just goes to show that things don't happen to you they happen for you. On another note if Mac/Boeing does get another order soon they are going to close down the F15 line. Alot of people here in St. Louis area worried for their Jobs. TEXASLFTR, first let me say that I am not in the military but my father was a career Army man. Died in service. I have the utmost respect for anyone willing to risk their life for Americans and our freedom. Now to address your posts about Kileen. Yes, it is a shithole, but you are close to Austin, and there are a lot of "babes" there. I also know some women in Kileen that like military men (any way they can get them), so maybe that would pass the time better. Also, there are several good bodybuilding shows in that area. I almost decided on a career in the air force but they told me I would never be able to fly because of my vision..... so I said fuck them (no offense)...... I cant believe that you think Ft Hood is terrible, that is the largest US military installation in the world!!!..... If you think that place is bad, try living in Ft Polk Louisiana or should I say Ft Puke......... makes Ft Hood look like heaven IP: Logged |

I thought Ft. Benning was the largest in the world (or largest in the US) By the way...the Air Force is really picky on their eye sight requirement. I was supposed to be an Air Traffic Controller but I failed the depth perception test and got booted out of that slot. Oh well..... IP: Logged |

I believe Ft Benning was the largest at one time, but very long ago. I think Ft Worth then took over as the largest, but either way I know for a fact that Ft Hood is currently the largest.... I believe they took that record over back sometime between '94-'96 when the army decided to move a bunch of units over there including the 5th mechanized infantry out of Ft Polk. They even did a TLC special on the base last year about how big it was and how much it costs per day to maintain. IP: Logged |

Yo, Rich, did you watch the Simpsons about a month ago, when Homer got some laser surgery done on his eyes? Bro, that shit was funny,'cause he refused post-op eye drops so his eyes got all crusty and crispy.

The Air Force has it so tough. Try spending three years in the Mojave desert in the Marine Corps humping a combat load then you can start complaining. Do they still hole you guys up in the Hilton when you go on deployment? You guys got the best of everything. The best food thats for sure. And I believe that Twenty Nine Palms is the largest base in the U.S. land wise. Serve your country in the Chair force, the civilian branch of the military, and stop complaining because the grunts got it a hundered times worse than you'll ever have. IP: Logged |

Hey Rich I tried asking the air force if I could use corrective eye laser surgery and they say if you do that, it automatically disqualifies you from any chance of flying because it is considered an "experimental procedure"......
