Okay, bear with me....last night I'm doing the usual Tuesday night pick-up ball thing. We usually run 4 on 4 cuz the court is small. Anyway there's this one guy who's been showing up (he's a cop) who thinks he's Billy Badass or something. This dickless toolbox is probably in his early forties and always, I mean ALWAYS, rips his shirt off before we start playing...I guess so we can gawk at his middle-aged beer gut and how impressive his flabby, non-anabolic-induced gyno is. Anyhow, this fat piece-of-shit lumbers his lard-ass up and down the floor, weezing all the way, pushing, shoving, and throwing elbows. This is one of those fucknut's with a big ego but he can't compete with anybody that's the least bit younger or in better shape so he compensates by throwing his fatass around, lying about the score, and calling foul if you look at him the wrong way. Okay, as if that wasn't enough....last night I threw an outlet pass off a rebound to my brother for a layup and the motherfucker slaps my kid brother in the chest! No play on the ball whatsoever!! (My brother is like 4'11" and 140 lbs, starts point guard at the high school but only a freshman...hehe! He's gonna be gooooood! My prodigy!! But that's another story...) Okay, so I walk down the court and say something to him about having no game but I get no response from the uncoordinated bastard. I let it go. About 20 minutes later this same load-that-should've-been-swallowed is all up in my chest after I bring down a rebound and makes me reinjur my ankle that was turned a few weeks ago and was just about healed. It wasn't 5 minutes later that he charlie-horses me in the thigh on a fast break. Okay, my problem is this....I'm gonna knock this motherfucker out next Tuesday night if he shows up. I can't stand these idiots that have no game and are physically pathetic but think they're badasses and wind up getting YOU hurt cuz THEY can't play. But his biggest mistake was fucking with my little brother...I'm pretty protective of him. BUT....a lot of the other guys that play with us are cops or deputies too and I live in a small town. If I lay into this fucker next week, do you think they'll all come to his defense or mine? They all know he's an ass too, but cops are a tight bunch. I'd be outnumbered like 8 to 2. Plus I live in a small town, do you think this'll fuck my relationship with some of the other cops? I get along with most of them and a couple of them "owe me some favors" if you know what I mean. I don't wanna screw that up but I'm not gonna let this out of shape fatass keep playing ball like this and I love the game to much to quit because of him. Somethings gonna be done. You guys think I should lay into him if he starts next week? I don't lose my temper that easily, I usually try to stay level-headed but.... Any advice? ------------------     | ||

Just let your skilz do the talkin'...sounds like he's not worth it anyway. Oh yeah, don't forget to constantly hand check him in the post. I'm the same way. I don't pick on anyone, but I refuse to take shit from anyone. Some guy knocked this girl that I know out of the way at the club about a month ago. I "accidentaly" spilled a bud light down his leg and then I smiled real big and said "Sorry man someone bumped into me, here's a napkin." Naturally, he started talking smack and getting in my face so after the third warning I back-handed his old ass. He just kept talking shit, but he sure as hell didn't want none. The bouncers, who know me well, took his ass out the front door. In your situation, just "accidentally" knock the ever living pig shit out of him while you're playing. He will probably back off, but if he says anything say "Sorry man, this game get's rough sometimes." with a big grin on your face. Hannibal, Well that's pretty much what I did yesterday. I took him to the rack all I wanted and then smacked his weak shit a couple times too. (One of 'em was reeeaaal good! Off the glass!) I think that's what really pissed him off and made it worse. I was making look like he was my bitch. Chump. ------------------ | ||

Most cops are generally pretty good guys, and cops are trained to observe other people. If he's fouling you, and being an asshole, I bet they'll see it and not defend him just cause he's a cop. On the other hand if they see you get mad and go ballistic they won't hesitate to take his side. So it seems to me the best way is to get THEM to keep him in line. Isn't there some way to get them to take care of this guy? He's one of their own. If he's playing that bad, isn't he pissing them off too? | ||

AJC, I guess that's what I should do, bro. But if if he fucks with my brother again I'll lose all ability to formulate a coherent and rational thought and I'll lay into his lardass. I don't think they'd jump in and beat your ass, but my guess is that they'd break it up even if they didn't like him. If for no other reason, but to keep themselves out of trouble. That's why I think the cheap shot is the way to go in this situation. | ||

why don't you piss him off really bad during the game...make sure he's guarding you and talk ALL THE SHIT IN DA WORLD while your taking him to the hole...Then start talking to the guys about tough man fighting...if he chimes in with a smart ass remark ask him if he would like to step in the ring for a toughman fight with you...But if you get in a tussle with him, you can bet your ass whenever he's on duty and sees you he's going to watch you like a hawk or worse yet mess with you | ||

I think most cops are trained in martaial arts. Taekwando, Akido, etc. That may be only state troopers but maybe city cops too. Be careful, he may get you in one of those wrist locks and break your arm or something. In that case it does not really matter how much larger he is than you, just be smart. | ||
