Got my ass hauled into the GM and VP's offices today and was told they've been monitoring internet use. so, my ass is up shit creek and the only paddle I have is a 20G debt so I'm royally fucked. They gave me a verbal warning and the only reason why they didn't write me up is because I've given 7 years of extremely productive stress free service. So, I'm banned from the internet at work and now have a workload that should satisfy 3 men with MBA's. However, I did have ammo and now someone's ass is grass cause I never got a review last year....fortunately it happens to be the same person who was instrumental in taking me down. but, now I am persona non grata...it's pretty humilating when no one will look you in the eye. So, bottom line is, I'm no longer here except sometimes after work or weekends. Ya'll have been great and I'll miss talking to you. Should be a unsmiley face cause Im really depressed.....I feel like a bag of dog shit.

Well Kat, we never really had much of a relationship other than passing each other and sometimes disagreeing, but you will be missed. When I go skiing next year I will get with these people and see if we can locate you. We are going to Canada to ski next season, instead of the states. | ||

Kat, another thing you can do is cause some other problem so significant that people forgot what you did. ie format 34956 people's hard drives. Wow....I come back from the laundromat to this. I am seriously flabbergasted. Thanks everyone for your support.  Believe me, if I didn't have a humungous debt to pay off I would have told them to stuff it. Ironically enough, they didn't bother telling anyone that we were being monitored until after my ass hit the fan. And yes May, I'm lucky I didn't get canned, but I'm valuable enough I guess. I'm one of those "can do everyone's job" folks. the kind you like to have in a recession....which it looks like we're getting there as my industry is always the first hit. Oh well, I'll take my lumps like a man and see you guys and gals in the offtime. I'll email my peeps later in the week. | ||

hmmm...I am a little surprised that people don't realize that while at work their computer usage is almost always being monitored. I guess I must be very naive as I thought everyone knew what I thought was an obvious fact. Well, just in case anyone out there doesn't know....don't use your company's computers to personal chat, etc., you are probably being monitored and alot of companies will fire you for such activity. ------------------ |
