Just wanted to introduce myself. I've posted a few replies here, and now I"m here to stay. Please don't hate me because I"m fat. That is the reason I'm here now. I'm 20, about 230 pounds, and a fatass. I've lurked for quite a long time. I will be transforming myself. I've had a physical, and have been given the go ahead by my doctor to go all out training. I'm going to start my diet Friday, and start my cardio/weights on Monday. I plan to start by consuming 1400 calories per day, divided up by 50% protein, 31% carbs, and 19% fat. The following is going to be my diet, 5 meals per day. 8am-Myoplex shake made with water = 42g pro, 24g carbs, and 2g fat. Plus, 1tbsp flaxseed oil = 14g OMEGA fats 10am-2 slices whole grain wheat bread with some mustard and a chicken breast = 25g pro, 41g carb, 9g fat. 1pm-Myoplex shake made with water = 42g pro, 24g carbs, and 2g fat. 4pm-1can tuna, 1 cup green beans = 34g pro, 4g carbs, 1g fat. 7pm-1/2 can of canned chicken = 38g pro, 0 carbs, 2g fat. That comes to 175g pro, 108g carbs, and 30g fat. 14g of fat is from flaxseed oil. I will also be having 7g of fiber mixed inside each myoplex shake. I'm trying not to eat carbs after 1pm. I might add a 20g protein shake before bed, if hungry. I will not count those calories though. As far as supplements go, I will be taking thermogenics at 4:45am, 9am, and 2pm. I will take a multivitamin after my meal at 8am. After my 10am meal, I will have 400iu of d-alpha natural Vit-E. At 8pm, I will have an extra time released gram of Esterfied Vitamin C. Each day I will also be taking 3-6g of B5, and before bed, will have 50mg of Zinc. This is all I have to say right now. Goodnight everyone. Cyall later. Humanshell ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You are courageous, Humanshell. There is plenty of good advice and information on this board (MOST of the time). Ask all the questions you want, just try to ignore the assholes. Good luck! ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

BTW, facelessballer is right. I would try to stay more around 1800-2000 calories a day with the extra coming from quality protein sources. You will lose a significant amount of muscle at only 1400 calories daily, especially now that you are training too. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Dude you got to start somewhere. Good luck with everything. I would up your calories to 2500 + a day and limit the carbs to around 30 - 40 gms per day for five days and then you can carb up for two days. Chicken/fish/albacore tuna/steak and tofu should be the staples of your diet. If your a vegitarian, then cheeses, tofu an soy products with salads are very good. Your water intake should be close to a gallon a day, this will help speed up your fat loss. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Frackal, the title to this thread was sort of a joke, making reference to the "should we hate fat people?" thread, which seems to have dissapeared. Odd, but from what yall say, that seems to happen here. I figured that people would have something to say about the calories, because even I think that 1400 is low, but seemed doable. My original outline was to have two chicken breasts in my 10am meal, 2 cans of tuna at 4, and the whole can of canned chicken at 7. I had miscalculated the nutritional values in my original post slightly. Just double checked everything, and if I were to add the above, back into the diet, it would come out to 268g pro, 94g carbs (14 are sugar), and 40g of fat. Comes out to about 1800 calories. Then, like I said, if I'm hungry before bed, I might down a 20-40g protein shake, which would bump it up to 2000 cals/day. I'm pretty sure the concensus will be for me to go back to that plan, so, your comments are very welcomed.

May no one on this board take your eyes off the prize...and if they try, use that bullshit as motivation to show them up, hehe... I think your last post with the new diet plan additions is MUCH better than the first...you don't have to be miserable to lose fat effectively... If you have any specific questions, feel free to drop me an e-mail... You are not the "type" of fat people that is--not hated--but "less" respected on a board like this where most are exercise enthusiasts. You have made no lame excuses for your condition, and are the process of bettering yourself...that takes PRIDE!! Kudos to you and your journey... ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think people put too much science into their diets. I would make it about 3 days eating that diet, then I would be sick of it. Bottom line is if you burn more calories than you take in you will lose weight. Cut your carbs, and work out simple. You know why there were no fat people in concentration camps? Hint it wasn't because of the great fitness centers the germans built. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]()
