I am doing my clinical rotations at the one of the mental health institutes here in TN, right, and there are definitely some fucked up people there. Well, I go into the "BEND" today (that is what this place is called), and ending up seeing some gross shit. There was this messed up pt. on our unit that had severe Bipolar, Manic disorder. He was also a risk for suicide. Well, I was walking by the mens restroom and I heard the bathtub water splattering. I didn't think anything of it (just thought he was jacking off cause they do that a lot there), so I let him be. Well, 30 minutes later I walk by again and still hear it. So, I went and got one of the nurses, right...we walked in the bathroom and this dude was laying butt ass naked in the bathtub. He had broken the mirror on the wall and proceeded to slice himself up very badly. Wrists, chest, ears, fingers, legs, penis, balls...everything. The bathtub was filled with blood. It had to be the most disgusting thing I had ever seen. He was unconscious of course, but he was still alive. (barely) So, we (my fellow classmates and I) just discussed what happened all day. Isn't that some fucked up shit? People there do this sort of thing...like the other day this guy drank a HUGE container of aftershave to try to kill himself. It's messed up. Oh My God, That is horrible, I am sorry, but I am laughing right now only because I am thinking of all the guys who are going to read this and get the shivers when they get to the part of slicing his penis & balls. OUUUCH. Is he going to live? What a fucking nut.... ------------------ | ||

Haha...yeah, this is the type of shit that (get this) I CHOOSE to deal with!!!! It's sad, but intriguing to me. He did live, but he is in VERY bad shape. They, of course, are putting his ass back in the MI when he is recovered. Talk about some MAJOR need for medication! haha.. Oh...his balls were barely hanging on, too. I could have grabbed them and just pulled them off! Ummm...that is a little graphic!!! Hope I didn't gross anyone out too much! | ||

night fly - my gf is in pediatrics rotation right now but worked in the mental health institute over the christmas break and she was always telling me interesting stories about what the weirdos were up to. always talking about how they are all either hyper-religious or hyper-sexual. some of the shit she told me was straight messed up. the best was when she would catch too crazies having sex with each other in some weird ass way. ------------------ | ||

Big Jay, I'm from Nashville (well actually south of Nashville), but I reside in Chattanooga. This was at the MI here in town. The MI in Nashville is the worst one in TN.
