If you wanted to ban guns you would need 2/3 of both Houses to propose the amendment and 3/4 of the State to ratify it. And that, is not even close to happening. In addition, for you gun control advocates, there are as of right now 20,000 gun laws on the books in the US. Please explain to me why 20,001 would make a difference.

"because the 20,001th law would be the right one!" Mr. T is right, foo. Guns are not to blame for any problems. A gun is an inanimate object. A gun can kill someone just as easily as a car, a knife, an airplane, or a piece of paper. Are you going to ban those items as well? The people with the guns are the problem. The people who go scott-free as a result of their crimes due to our half-assed justice system and human rights bullshit. Kill someone, you die. Wound someone, you go to jail for a long time. USE A GUN FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN TARGET PRACTICE OR DEFENDING YOUR LIFE OR SOMEONE ELSE'S AND YOU *WILL* PAY THE PRICE. Tell me how many gun crimes we'd have then, please? -Warik ------------------ BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!!

Guns kill, that's what they were designed to do. We don't ban cars because they get us to work do we?

The issue at hand is how do we stop the distribution of guns to the people who shouldn't have them. How many times this month have we heard someone buying guns legally, then selling the gun to a thug. Don't get me wrong I am a member of the NRA and I'm strongly against any type of gun controll. But these fuckers that buy guns to sell them on the street make anti-gun lobbyist drool

hey while we're at it lets do away w/all types of chemicals, solvents, herbs & plants that can kill, that way no one can be poisoned. do away with baseball or softball bats so now one can be beat to death, oh no, ban football & boxing, that way no more athlets get killed. WTF, come on already. We ALL know its the hand the weopon is in thats at fault, not the weopon.

Weapons are designed to kill!

Your right, without a doubt a majority of weapons will kill, some were designed for that purpose and others for target practice. So what?, A car was designed for quicker, more efficient transportation, yet it kills more people than guns every year. A knife was designed to kill, yet we use them every day harmlessly and they knives are responsible for thousands of deaths each year. Alcohol is a poison, yet it is used to derive pleasure, but each year alcohol kills thousands upon thousands. The list goes on. What is the one common thread in the above list? It is the human. Humans are responsible for killing period. A gun/knife/car are tools some are designed to be more efficient at a particular task than others, yet they all can pretty much be used to kill at will. TAKE AWAY YOUR ABILITY TO DEFEND YOURSELF AND IE DISARM THE POPULACE AND WHAT YOU HAVE LEFT IS A POLICE STATE. But,I guess that is a small price to pay for the presummed safety society would benifit from. Total control vs freedom. Hmmm, I wonder who is right? ------------------

quote: Actually, many chemicals are illegal or highly controlled, if they are dangerous or lethal enough. By your argument, nothing dangerous should be controlled. Do you really want anyone to be able to buy plutonium or arsenic?
