I live near Ft. Lauderdale. The beaches are nice and the women are beautiful. The club scene is big along with all sorts of entertainment.

It all depends what area you move to. The area is well developed with plenty of jobs. Can get kinda expensive.

It is almost my second home I am down for a minimum of one week per month. It really depends on what you are into in your personal life. I love the arts and theater and musuems and fast paced lifestyle, so I would say it is a big step down from NYC where I also go once a month. I come south here to lay on the beach and avoid cold weather.

Live in and from Fort Lauderdale.
Pretty good night life.
Last 2-3 years the gay population has grown
500% because the gay publications recomend it.
Most straight property owners are cool with the
influx of gay money......and the increase of property values cause.....you know gays have
"such a flair" when it comes to fixing up their houses etc.

I'm not your classic bodybuilder....I have a
job where I have to lift 200lb sheets, and I'm getting up there in years, and don't want my customers to think I'm past it or can't handle it. Any way, I'll
email you my phone and maybe you can pick
my brain or I'll give you a 50 cent tour.

I could tell you the good and bad points of the address of the apt you have in mind.

If you leave NY for Florida, you;re going to feel like you went back in time 8 years.

Most everyone at the clubs down there tries to act like NY-ers and attempt to be sophisticated....but it;s really just a tacky plastic culture.

It's fun for like three months. I visit several times a year.

True, I became friends with a few New Yorkers,
and they complained it was boring and nothing to do, so spread out with no good public transportation, "in NY you could just walk outside any time of day or night and make your own party."

They threatened to move back to NY and visited NY a few times but they are here to stay.
IT's a major adjustment...

ION,

A good friend of mine from Coral Springs was just up here, and she was amazed by the fact that if you want sushi, you can fucking get sushi anytime you damn well please.

New York is authentic in a way that nowhere else can match. Other places have themes, but NY sems to have the real thing. (It sucks in a lot of ways up here too).

BRR - think long and hard. Sometimes we NY-ers take this for granted.

I lived in Miami and visited Ft. Lauderdale several times, had a blast. My brother lived there, made a good living at the age of 23, loved it as well....All depends on who you ask. I actually new several people from NY that lived there. Travel really is not that far, you've got Miami, Orlando, Tampa, The Keys, Daytona...Visit them all...You'll have fun.

For those of you that pray, please raise a prayer for me to wish me luck on the road.

I'll keep you mofos updated as soon as I get to FL and I can get on-line I'll make a post letting you'll know what the deal is.

PS: Matt and the rest of the bros, I don't know how I will fit in, as you know I'm Latino and there is a large Latino comunity in FL, I might just fit in right or be totaly out of place with those Cubans out there.
