I met a girl on the internet about a week ago...started out as just a "fun" thing to do, but we then exchanged pics. and finally now phone numbers....decided to conversate a bit and maybe hook up for a date. The prospect is kind of exciting, but I've never tried it before. Anyone been there? RICO     | ||

If I wasn't married, there is one I would DEFINATELY meet with the quickness....I had a friend who met this guy, flew from Florida to New York and I thought she was the most fucked up person in the world & begged her not to go. It was kind of foolish, she went by herself. They have been seeing eachother for 3 yrs. now...what do I know? ------------------ | ||

I met a girl online once. We exchanged emails for about a month, then phone numbers. When I called her, she had a speech impediment. I couldn't understand a word of what she was saying. I didn't call her again. I know, I'm shallow. But I just want to at least be able to understand what she's saying. Plus she had a psychotic ex-boyfriend that wanted to kill her. A word of advice to ladies, don't ever tell a potential new mate about your psycho ex's, they tend to scare men away. If you have a psycho stalker, wait until you've had sex before you mention it it to your new man. | ||

When I first moved back to Austin I placed ads in Yahoo personals and Classifieds2000.com. I had so many offers to meet I couldn't keep up with them all. I was dating more than I have in my life. Some, we met in a bar or restaurant. Those almost Never worked out. The bar/restraunt setting is so artificial it doesn't support that "warm & cozy" getting to know you atmosphere. Most I simply invited directly to my home, and those mostly worked out. Some refused to come to my home, but there were so many that would that I just dropped those that wouldn't. If they're such timmy's they woun't accept an invitation to my home, they're too timid to be dating me, period. By meeting in my home, we were surrounded by my art, my memorabilia, etc. Just point to anything and we could have a nice personal conversation about it. (not true of restraunt environment). Most of them were "as advertised". A few flakes, and several that just didn't click. But for the most part it was a wonderfull experience, and led me to meet my current partner of 3 years. I highly recommend it. | ||
