Ok, maybe this is a stupid qyuestion, but I�m no computer master. I always read on this board about how aol sucks. It seems to me that it�s an instant messager like icq, is it right??? Why it sucks??? Thanks     | ||

It's an internet provider (like microsoft explorer) and also an IM program like ICQ. I am assuming that they say it sucks because it is very easy to get hacked into, and there is not much privacy (with emails or anything like that). | ||

Corn, AOL is garbage and should only be used if you really like to chat. In my opinion that's all it is good for. | ||

i agree with crazythug. i got the old free x amount of hours, and i only use it to go in and talk shit in the chat rooms or disspell all the misinformation in the bb room. thats the only use of aol, chat rooms. i would get a good isp that is local so you are able to log on when you want. best bet so far i have found is to get dsl and use a decent isp. no hassles, privacy is up to you, (firewall etc) |
