He's out of prison,but not free. Guy has a serious case of throat cancer that needs mass medical attention. They shipped him to a local hospital in Springfield,IL somewhere. He was locked up in Marion,IL, but they don't have the medical staff there or the resources to deal wit hthroat cancer. Old man might be on his way out soon. Peter Gotti, his brother, is now running the show for the Gambinos, but they continue to crumble, and are basically nill. They no longer have any control what so ever over the sanitation industry (garbage routes), or garnments, or construction. Prosecutors are watching Peter closely and will try to build a RICO case against him and the remainder of the Gotti crew, but nothing major is going on in the family inside sources say. Peter doesn't really have any leadership skills, and basically everybody does what they want, they have there own agendas, and everyone is there own boss basically. So obviuosly there still around, but at a much lower threat, if you will. There also going after a guy named Giacolone (Jack-a-lone-y) out of Detroit, but the man is in bad medical condition at the age of 80 yrs old, and they think it will take 2 yrs to go to and conclude trial. So it might not even maje sense to go after him.     | ||

I always liked jhon gotti but in a tapped interview I heard him talking shit about people that use steroids being low lifes because his grandson wanted to be a basketball player. What a piece of shit like selling drugs and killing people are things to respect. | ||

There was a show on Gotti on the Discovery Channel. It was pretty cool. Personally I'm more interested in the Philly mafia than NY's. The Scarfo wars were interesting to learn about for my crim class. LCN in general is in a recession now. Give it some time and it will be strong again.
