"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the U.S., and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana can cause white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers and any others. ... The primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races." - extract from the testimony of Harry J. Anslinger, director at the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, before the U.S. Senate in 1937. These are the racist, irrational roots of the current War On Drugs. Now... how do we end it?

It was founded on bullshit. White male slaveowners, who wanted to be free, and allow a democracy where everyone had the right to vote. As long as that someone was a white male who owen property. What a bunch of shit.

Well in reality the laws on Marijuana were at the time racially motivated, or more correctly stated racially profiled. It is obvious by now the real truth is out there and our Government is back peddling to cover their point of view. We have alcohol and tobacco, which have no medical use. Sounds like a schedule 1 drug, like heroin, speed and unfortunatly marijuana. The lies goes on and on. Hell Coke is a schedule 2 drug like morphine. It has it's use in medicine. Booze is a gateway drug, so are tobacco products. Go figure sooner or later, people will realize that people who use pot are just like everyone else, and that they should be left alone.

Drug laws have been used by the government and other institutions as a form of social control. These laws affect and target a greater percentage of poor and disadvantaged citizens as well as middle class people. Drug addiction is a fast growing epdemic that is tearing apart our nations foundation. These laws are designed to regulate and control the masses. |
