I would just like to know about how much you guys pay in Auto insurace, lets say for like a 2000 Toyota Camary, how much do you guys pay for 12months Full covreage, I just need like an estimate, I'm paying $280 per month in NY right now.

I ask this cause I have Family in Florida and my cousin said he can hook me up with a Studio appartment W/parking space in a town about 30mins from Miami Beach for about $300 per month, Now I'm seriously considering moving out of this fucking NY weather and Taxes, so if you could please tell me what is it like the cost of living in Florida and how much per-week is a good salary to make ends meet.

ThanX.

cost of living...well depends if you like livin large...rent in south Palm Beach/North Broward for a one bedroom ranges from 750 up.

Utilites...very dependent on where you live...electric in one place i lived in was like at least 150 a month, now is around 50 a month( depends on roomates as well)

Water...about 30-40 a month

Sewage (some places include) like 30-45 month

Sleas tax...7%...but we have like 2-3 days a year that are totally tax free

Some information on Florida...

Florida's tax is 6.5%, NY's is 8.5%.

Gas was cheaper there but now it seems to be a wash.

You'll be surrounded by old people unless you live in either Gainesville, Tallahassee or Miami.

Food will cost less, and the grocery stores there are nicer.

Living close to Miami means you'll probably get hit by a hurricane atleast once a year.

You will wait atleast thirty minutes to be served at restaurants and then have to wait another thirty minutes to get your food.

Just eat at Steak N Shake all the time. I love that place.

Florida is a place where all NY teenagers think will be great. However they all move back. NY to FL is a huge difference.

The fact that rent and insurance is cheaper will not make up for it.

You'll either love the Miami nightlife and get caught up in it, or hate it and be miserable with the average age of FL residents.

IMO, move to Connecticut, Delaware or Pennsylvania if money is an issue. PA and DE have NO sales tax, not sure about CT. Auto insurance is also much cheaper in DE and rural parts of PA.

Psychoskitz where do you get your info? Number 1 there are some many young people here and moving here that they cant build schools fast enough! Hurricane every year? Dont think so. Teens moving back to NY? Maybe the fat little black clothes wearing Marilyn Manson clones. Please with the NY so great bullshit! Lived there for 18 years. My opinion the northeast is crap. Is NY a great city? Hell yes! But who lives in the city? Most live in Jersey or Long Island. Those places are DULL, and the weather sucks! I wake up every day and see the intracoastal waterway and walk 3 blocks to the beach. If you dont like Fla. then stay where you are we dont mind, really
