It wants to use a specific port. If your company's firewall is as solid as ours, that port is secured. | ||

I know what the internet port number is. so if its secured you can't use any file sharing programs? that sucks. I can get on napster but it may be gone by tomorrow. | ||

The easiest solution is if you have access to the proxy so that you can change the port map. If you do bring up port maps and allow your computers ip and port to be connected to the ip and port of the proxy. If you don't have access to the proxy, you might still be able to do it. If gnutella allows you to change the IO ports then simply change them to either 80 or 8080. This won't work if the proxy is also running a web server on that port and if your computer is using DHCP. | ||
