A man's nephew won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair. He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become to the alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment. The local newspaper, The Post Register, reported in the Sunday paper that he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for plenty of good reasons, since it can: 1. cause excessive sweating and vomiting ------------------ :::bitch betta have mah money::: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$     | ||

Yeah, that's pretty good. I probably would have fallen for it too if I hadn't read the name of the chemical slower. If it's in print, most people think it's gospel. ------------------ | ||

I failed science....I wouldnt have known that. Guess I'm stupid. I thought it was one part hydrogen and 2 parts oxygen..didnt know anything about monoxide anything being in it. | ||

well, thats pretty dumb...why didnt they call it 2DIH1O then..that would make more sense. but thanks for the infor puc..now I know. I always thought monoxide was the shit that comes out your car exhaust. | ||

That's carbon monoxide. As the man said, the word "monoxide" simply means "one oxygen molecule" So carbon monoxide= CO. As opposed to carbon dioxide, or CO2. | ||

That reminds me of the time on the Man Show when they petitioned to end woman's suffrage. Tons of women were signing the petition. BTW suffrage is the right to vote. | ||
