The ocean and the creatures that live in it have always fascinated me. I have never focused my energy towards learning about either.

Can anyone recommend some good books?

David Attenborough's TRIALS OF LIFE is not entirely focused on marine life but a large portion of it is. He usually focuses on certain creatures and tells the story so it relates to human life, making for an interesting spin, its also a TV series, my favourite was the eating habits of killer whales, those huge mammals would launch themselves on the beach grabbing an unaware seal and kick themselves back into the water, i wouldn't want to be sunbaking on those beaches.
