Expensive in mass. Expect to pay about 650 for a one bedroom, plus utilities. The cost of living is high here and the real estate market is absolutely nuts. In the two years I have lived in my house, the value has increased by 100,000. Thats nuts, but good for me.

I nearly took a job in Baltimore, but after looking through real estate guides I found that a 1 bedroon apt. will run about $500-$600/ month. I'm sure there are cheaper ones but they probably aren't in good neighborhoods.

If you are in the town in mass where I went to college (up in the very northwest corner of the state out in the midle of nowhere on a mountain), then you could get a 3 bedroom apt for $200-400 a month. Here in Cambridge, I have a 1 bedroom and it costs me $1200 a month. you could find a stupid here for as litle as $600, but it would basically be a crack den and would be closet sized. the only way you'd be able to pay $600 iis if you moved further from the city or maybe if you moved to Somerville and shared an apt with at the very least one other person. ------------------ Build a man a fire, he is warm for a day. One of my brothers used to live in a stupid den. I helped him move out and that was when I first saw the pit. The bathroom was not even in the studio- it was out in the hall of the three story walkup. I realized at that moment I could not live under the same condition. There are times when I get up in the middle of the night to yak or pee or whatever and the thought of walking out where a neighbor could catch me in my skivvies would not appeal to me. I'd sooner stick it out the window. |
