I like google. what makes it the best you ask? because it is run by evil magical elves. hundreds of them.

I have two things to say about that:
1) this site is really slow today
2) midgets give me the willies.

I prefer www.dogpile.com because it utilizes just about every search engine known to man...it is a "meta-search" engine, and once you've used it once, you won't go back to the single types...

metacrawler.com is also a meta search engine, and I prefer it over dogpile just because of the way it groups the results. I heard a couple of months ago that Northern lights was the best non-meta search engine, but it still only searched about 16% of the web. I believe Yahoo was only around 10%.

if I want most diverse results I go with ALtavista....plus if I need and articual in chinese its also very helpful
