Was this not posted last week? Or am I mistaken? Here is my .02 again. Dale was an icon, celebrity, the greatest race car driver ever, not a HERO. The media is mostly to blame for us hearing more about Dale and other celebrities than the men and women that serve our country everyday. Dale Earnhardt is a name that many have known for a very long time and it is important and interesting to race fans everywhere. I am certainly not stating that the men that you are speaking of were not important, but it is the media's fault that we do not remember their names....Also take a look at Havoc's post from yesterday regarding us being programmed by the govt. and media. Interesting.........

That's the way the chips fall in a Fame drenched country. You have to put this in perspective. YOu could like every one of those young mens names and face and I bet I have never seen or heard of them, therefore I have little emotional attachment to them. Call this hard or call it what you will, it is a fact. Human nature causes this and the mighty dollar. Get used to it, because it WILL NEVER CHANGE in our lifetime. It may be wrong, but it is life in a free market country.
