Here we go again. Why the fuck don't people do squats and deads like they do bicep curls and BP'S?

I saw this again last night at my gym. Young guy about 18, decent upper, is doing 250 for reps. I figure he's about 180-190. then he gets up and it's like Bwaahhhhhhhh! Ostirich rider!!!!!!!!!. No tone whatsoever. I had to laugh at him, if Matrix were here, he would laugh at him too.

Hey, I'm no strong man and by no means look like a god, but come on. Can't you get under the rack and do at least 3 sets a week?

Oh well, at least there is never any wait for the rack unless some idiot is doing push-ups using the safety bars.

Like I said, excuse my rant.

Sad but true. If guys like that are too wussy to do squats, you'd think they could at least do so some leg presses or extensions.

The goof-balls in my gym use the squat rack for hanging leg raises...but since they do not rotate the pelvis upwards, thereby shortening the distance between the pelvis and the sternum, all they are doing is wasting their time working their hip flexors! IDIOTS!

Ostrich riders....yup!

I get annoyed at the people that use the squat rack to hold the bar that they are using to do curls and they make you wait for the rack. If I'm using the squat rack to hold the bar for curls or another light weight exercise and someone comes along and wants to squat, I move and let them have the rack.

I see people using the squat rack for:

Shrugs
Upright rows
BB curls
Standing shoulder presses

Damn does it piss me off -- especially when I'm trying to use it to do squats or deadlifts.

well I admit I use the rack for things other then squatting but unlike others in my gym I don't sit there for 10mins staring at the mirror to admire myself. I just lift and then get the hell out the way. If someone asks to jump in for squatts no big deal I let them get to it...it's as simple as that

It doesn't bother me at all. Less people doing squats in my gym means that there will always be room in the squat rack for me, and my 175lb'er legs will always dwarf their 200+lb chicken legs.

Saw some guy a bit bigger than me in the upper body doing 225lb quarter-rep squats yesterday. Holy chicken legs, folks. Makes me glad that I didn't wait until I started looking disproportionate before I started working the legs.

i almost posted something just like this yesterday.... i usually make some chicken leg post every 6 months or so... but yesterday, fuck.... i am doing my thing and i am on the hammer bench thingy, this guy who looked pretty jacked asked me if i would leave 2 plates on for him when i was done... i said sure... well, he walked away and i about laughed... i am talking sticks!!! www.stickdeath.com style legs!!! but his upper body was big and ripped... i wonder how often he falls down on windy days... sad thing is that i caught him "posing" in the mirror a few times...

it's all about the squat. i have no problem that everything chills on flat bench and preacher curl stand enhancing their upperbody superhero physique. just keep out of the squat rack with your bicep curls. i am still the 180#er with the oversized ass and legs you won't find in a KFC.

I've yet to wait for a free rack to do squats. I love that people don't squat. I actually work on my squat poundage more than chest, so fuck the bench-press-bicep-curl-wife-beater-wearing-club-fucks who come in just on friday before they go eat 20 hits of E stay up all night and don't eat for a week.
I'm in bed with a full stomach waiting for my 8 hours to pass before i can hit the gym again, wearing my last pair of underware cause i ripped yet ANOTHER pair from going ass to the floor.
