Wow, do you guys all live in Montana? The Launch????? That is some of the oldest shit around. You want good progressive house cd's:

Hard House Anthems II & III
Any Tunnel Trance disc
DJ Huda Hudia - United House Nation
Paul Anthony - Chain Reaction

Single songs (Some of these are old, but not overplayed like The gayass Launch):

Mello Trax - Outta space (kinda old, but good)
Boy Wonda - Everybody (old also, but good)
Hani - Baby wanna ride (also old but good)
Storm - Time to Burn

Too many to name......do a search on Napster

I actually had the pleasure of seeing Oakenfold two weekends ago in Tempe, and it was the most off the hook show you will ever see. I have some of his discs, and seeing the guy in real life doesn't even compare.

Bad Boy Bill puts on a great show as well. I saw him a year or so ago at The Park Bar in Milwaukee, and he put on a great set. He will be at The Quest in Minneapolis on March 16th for any of you MN bros out there.

I just moved to Scottsdale, and I cannot believe the venues this cities has. Oakenfold, Jonah, Frankie Bones, Timo Maas, you name em, they've been here. I love it. Not to mention, they are all private shows, which keeps Ticketmaster out of the mix.

Guys, none of the music you listed is technically techno (and is actually electronica or house) but who is counting...right?

Check out a track named Doomsnight (Tino Maas remix). It is a great track!

I see a lot of people like house, but not too many are into drum & bass. Hmmm...

Frack, here are some good d&b artists:

Technical Itch and Rascal and Clone both of Moving Shadow Records. Their latest albums, Never After and The Phoenix are out now. Goddamn! Was this programmed by humans?

Seeka of Nu Directions Records. His Critical Mass album is out of this world. High quality stuff.

Photek of Science Records. I recommend both the latest release, Mine to Give, and his album from a while ago, Form and Function. Good, clean beats with some quirky samples.

There are many, many more, but this would be a good start.

Peace

PS Whether it's house, techno, d&b, or IDM, or what have you, you have to hear it on a nice, phat system at a club. IMHO, there's just no substitute for that kind of intensity and richness of sound.

I had a blast at Twilo on Pres. Day! Carl Cox and Danny Tenaglia till 3 in the afternoon, though I left at 8. Anyways....

If you are into trance, which is a little more melodic and not as raw as techno, any of the above names is right, also check out Deep Dish they rock!

If you are into real driving, banging techno, whoever posted Timo Maas is on the right track. Also check DJ Rush, Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox. If you are into a more acidy sound, check Josh Wink.

I don't listen to jungle as much as I used to, but I can help a little. If you like smooth, atmospheric jungle check out LTJ Bukem. If you like a more Hip-Hop sound to jungle, check DJ Hype and Roni Size. If you like Hard, industrial sounding jungle check Ed Rush, DJ Trace and Grooverider.

Hope this helps
