Alright guys. I'm 24 and have managed to royally fuck my credit up. Now it's time to pay the piper. Any of you know if those credit places that knock your payments into 1 "easy" monthly payment is legit or not? Also, can I get some of the charges reduced, as reaching a settlement with the credit agencies? Any advice you can offer, I'd appreciate it. I obviously don't know how to do anything with it besides fuck it up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Contact your local United Way, here there is Consumer Credit Counseling Service. They will have you pull your credit, go to www.equifax.com and follow directions. If your credit has not been declined in 60 days you get it for free if not it's $8.50. DO IT! Can you guess what field I am in? CCCS will help you figure out your debt to income ratio and contact your creditors. They will set up a payment plan with them and lower or delete the interst. It is a not for profit org. Equifax (800)435-6356. Good Luck ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

If you own a home it's much easier to consolidate you bills and laons. But there are small finance company's that deal w/ small credit problems. If you do own a home, contact somone like House Hold Finance and talk to a rep about bill and loan consolidatoins. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Crazy1 I too had credit problems some years back. Do not pay any company to help repair your credit, most of them are rip offs. There are non profit credit counseling agency's that you can find on the net. They will help you get your credit problems solved. It is not an easy fix, this stuff takes time, Good luck ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes, DO NOT call the ones you see on TV. Call United Way, they will help you and not charge you. Listen To Me!!! If there is anything on your credit that you dispute write a letter to the company if they do not reply within 30 days, guess what, it gets taken off of your credit. You have to have a valid reason though, say something like (if it is regular bills, like utilities, phone etc...) I was living there with roommates, moved and the bills were neglected. Anyways, just call UWay, it will take some time, possibly years (2 probably maximun). Don't wait or the next thing you know you will be 30 and have nothing. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks for all the replies. KartChick, thanks a lot and I will call United Way. I've just put this off, and continue to do so, and I figure this is one of the major reasons why I think of driving my car off a cliff sometimes. So, I need to get it taken care of. Thanks a lot for the advice. P.S. That was a joke about driving my car off a cliff, I live in Arizona... we don't have many cliffs. We have trains though!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Crazy...you didn't say how much in debt you are but like someone said CCCS can help you reorganize your debt . If the debt is really extensive consider bankruptcy. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Going bankrupt at your age is not a wise choice. Besides is costs $500 to file (In Florida anyways) and you have to get a lawyer, blah, blah, blah with that money you could pay off something. Find out how much you are in debt (Equifax), email me and I will try to help you if you need it. No I will not pay off your creditors...hehe ![]() ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
