... next to these really tall buildings. You hear a distant, very distant, yell getting louder and louder. You keep walking. Suddenly, some dude splatters on the sidewalk inches in front of you getting blood and guts all over your new pants. If you were walking just a TAD faster, he would have landed on you and crushed you. Your reaction... "Oh my God!!! call 911!" and stay there. or "Asshole!" and keep walking. I think if people are going to commit suicide they should be kind enough to do it in there own house, nothing gets me more angry then some drugged out mofo who had to jump off a bridge onto the freeway at rush hour. Like ok Im sorry you want to end your life but do you have to make thousands of people late to go home and spend time with the fams? This actually happened to a co-worker on his first buisness trip to New York. He flew to Newark airport, took a cab into the financial district, got out of the cab, was walking into the client's building and...SPLAT! He said his reaction was to puke and then sit there shivering for an hour. | ||

I don't care that much about clothes .. even if they were new pants. I would call 911 and report what happened, and kneel down and see if he was indeed dead. Death sometimes is not instantaneous. | ||

Why wouldn't you call 911? Are you supposed to just leave the guy on the street? While there is no dignity in suicide, it doesn't reflect positively on us as a society if we don't take care of the deceased. | ||
