Returned to Uni today, and stumbled across some guys I remembered vaguely from high school who're now 1st yr. Anyway, we decided to go for a beer, and one of them says point blank to another: "So, how's the kid?" WTF? these guys are 18, just out of high school and should barely even have got their dicks wet. and the happy father was the last guy i would have picked for that shit... Hell, I don't know the circumstances, accident or otherwise, but I still think it's extremely retarded to have a kid that young, or even to decide to keep an unwanted kid when you're 17...teen parents most probably = shitty parents. especially some insular little sprog from a private school... ahh fuck, i don't even know why i wrote this. just pissed me off that's all.     | ||

well being only 20 I know I don't want to have kids right now, but I wouldn't say all teen parents are bad. A few I know are doing well and giving their kids more then they had, while holding down a full time job and occasional college class. | ||

i wouldn't say they're all bad myself. but i think most who get knocked up at 17 isn't the world's responsible parent, for precisely those reasons - not taking the threat of pregnancy seriously and for being 17. | ||

Oh i love the teen parent issue, haha. "Oh, bobby loves me we're getti".. OK, whatever, instead of me typing it all out, you know how it goes, guy usually stays for a while, till the chick starts getting fat like a cow, or he gets too fucked up on drugs, or finds some other hot slut to impregnate. Next thing you know they're battling it out in court at 17-18 years old for child support or whatever. I think it should be goddamn mandatory that as soon as girl in the US hits 12, they should be put on the pill. MANDATORY. That is unless she simply can't be. Kids should not be having kids, it's as simple as that. I think we can all think of many reasons why. | ||

i agree with the birth control idea but u cant force some women to take that christian fanatics and whatnot there would be too much opposition :> but its a neat idea and the availability should be there ------------------ |
