its good to use a little introspection. take a step outside of yourself and reconsider all things near and far. madbomber is certainly a person who should do this more. unlike many of you he has seemingly made poor decision after poor decision... in fact, he has yet to make a GOOD decision. one day he will in fact get it right, hopefully its not too late to bring him happiness.

Bro I hope your doing ok...That post sounds a bit scary and a bit down. I can agree most of us probably have noticed those wrong choices after the fact. Just keep your head up and try to make the next one better

MB- There is no such thing as "too late" for happiness!!!! Have confidence that one day, in a state of blissful happiness, you will realize that you never would have been able to get there without your so-called "mistakes." I say it like that because I don't technically even believe in mistakes. I believe in learning opportunities. Easier said than done, I know... but certainly worth the effort to think of it in these terms! GOOD LUCK.

(If it makes you feel any better, I'm going through a pretty rough time myself. Just to let you know I second the introspective nature.)

Woah, MB, I just wrote this to a friend of mine 10 seconds before I read your post:
_____

But, I suppose there is always at least one barrier to becoming completely happy.

perfect lives dont' exist......except Mother Teresa of course. Don't look at them as mistakes, just learing experiences.

P.S. I like Taco Hell

Sounds like your ready to read "Passages" by (I think) Gail Sheehey.
Talks about the decisions that one normally makes during a specific generation of your life,
and what happens if you postpone those decisions till a later decade.
Each decade of life deals with different kinds of questions.
Kind of like a boat crossing the lake,
first you tac to the right, then tac to the left, makeing course corrections the whole way.
Don't be so hard on yourself.
The "my shit don't stink" posts are for the most part self-deluded immature punks that have yet to be kicked in the stomach by life.

Bump for John.

And there will be countless times when you will be kicked in the stomach.

What is the saying "Tough times never last, but tough people do" ?

Much truth in that statement.

MB - Hang in there. Life isn;t easy. Success is even tougher.

Shags - funny you should mention that about Mother Tersa. In fact, she was known to have withheld medication from sick people to try to get them to accept spiritual healing, rather than an anitbiotic which would have sent them on their way.

in doing som, teh sick stayed sick and the problem got worse. Perfect? Neither her nor anyone else.

I have been in the dumps before and last few weeks were not great. Friends or at least one of them is a backstabber, so I showed her what it is like to be backstabbed. I guess it worked fine because I don't have to
put up with her PMS, and then on top her menopause anymore. Which is fine with me. She confided to me about it and asked me what she should do.

Hell, I am no Dr. but she should be on hormone therapy, because of her bitchyness. I am 45 and knew what I needed to do.

Test anyone?
