eminem bores me. the whole i hate the world and fuck everyone attitude is a little played out and if you have to resort to blasting every single faction of society to sell records you don't get much respect from me. i like him better when he does riffs on dre's songs. on the other hand i think he's a good mc and obviously has talent, if only he would put it to better use then i think he'd deserve 3 grammys. | ||

I think Dre's a genius, he knew exactly how to market to the masses. He picked someone he knew he could market to white people and they'd eat him up. Everytime I hear that little kid's voice, I can't help but think that black people are laughing at white people for even conceiving that this guy has any rapping talent. Cmon, does anyone remember "hi, my name is". My jaw dropped the first time I heard he was with Dre. And somebody tell him to quit starting shit at clubs, I don't think he realizes that in prison there is no big bodyguards and no Dre to back him up. They will auction him off in prison. | ||

I think I might have heard of Steely Dan maybe once before but don't recall the music....Eminem deserved to win those awards. I think his music is funny, but I do not buy it myself. I guess those in his industry thought he deserved it also Also I think it's sad that people got so upset by it. I think if he was arrested or seen going out trying to hurt gay, lesbian, transgendered people, or his mother I would be ashamed to see him get those awards and would understand the big outrage. I haven't heard of him doing anything like that so I don't feel it was a big injustice. It's also a bit lame claiming that his lyrics were so out on the edge that it's going to cause people to mistreat others based on that music alone I do think he was arrested for a dispute with his wife, but I'm not sure what happened If you dont like his music, don't buy it, dont listen to it, and dont bother everyone who does by bitching about it | ||

Manson is Reznor's puppet. Eminem is Dre's puppet. Arguably the 2 best producers in the industry. They can make anyone good. But Manson is actually a very smart man who does make good music. Dre & Reznor have collaborated in the past and there was talk that they'd collaborate again on a higher level. These 2 men would be able to change the face of music if they got together. Hopefully they do, because right now, music sucks. Rap is all about selling 1-million albums a week, so who cares? Eminem outsells everyone, so he succeeded. Are you saying Jay-Z or DMX or JaRule or Nas or Memphis Bleek or Juvenile or 98% of the otehr rappers today have talent? They use easy machines with pre-programmed beats and change them a little, some moron sings about a shootout he was never involved in, then tells me about girls he never had sex with and goes on and tells me about cars he doesn't drive- that is far from talent. | ||

Im not on his jock but you have no idea what your talking about BPP, Eminem has mad respect for whites and blacks for years on the underground - handing some of the "best battlers" in the business there freestyle all wacked up and ready to serve. Hi my name is, was his crossover to pop to cashout - listen to someof his freestylings when no one knew who he was a black dude would play race with him and he would fuckin eat him up and spit him out, his rhymes are (well used to be before the mainstream crossover)viscious he has one several freestyle battles that werent held in alabama (sorry special bill). Slopain is right. Eminem won the national freestyle competition I think two years in row. The last time he won it Dre signed him and the rest is history. Oh, and you don't win the freestyle competition unless you have the respect of blacks. Personally, I hate eminem and I dont give a shit if he won a Grammy. | ||

slopain, at least where I live, I only hear most black people making fun of him. I can honestly say that I have never once, not once, heard a black guy pumping eminem out of his system. I've seen white girls trying to play eminem out of their ford festiva's, but never out of a serious system. This summer, when all the systems come out of the woodwork, I'll be listening around my college to who's blaring what. |
