2600. l0pht. reading system admin books. if you want to get into someone's computer, as in like the due that lives next to you, it is a hell of a lot harder than it is to say, get into a porn site. servers are designed so that people can access them remotely and do things - you just have to figure out how to make it think you are one of the people allowed to do that. your neighbors computer on the other hand is likely just a personal machine and not running any servers on it, so in order to get into it, you would need to put a server on it - trojan horses are usually good ways of doing this - but that requires getting them to install something. although judging by all the viruses going around, maybe you can get him to install something just by emailing it to him. do a search on google and you will find a ton of info. deja is a good resource too (google just acquired their databases), it allows you to search 5 years woth of newsgroups (minus binaries). ------------------ | ||
