Why is it that there is a Women Only Gym near my house, which no one care's about, but if there was a men only gym, there would be 1000 soccer moms out there picketing away chanting about oppression.

I'm sure some of the men here agree with me on this, and no I don't hate women, but this does irritate me quite a bit.

In the past, women did not have equal rights, the were usually subservient <sp> to men, but men had to wine them, dine them, support them, protect them, etc..

Today, women do have equal rights, and more.
Yet men are still expected to do that of old, spend tons of $$$$, take them out, same shit.

The political correctness is rediculous too.
It is socially acceptable to have a female only gym, but not a male only gym. WTF?

It's like when blacks can make fun of whites, but whites can't make fun of blacks.

1) In regards to the women's gym. I can only guess that maybe some of those women do not feel comfortable working out in front of men. I for one, would NEVER join another women's only gym! SOME women can be so damn catty and jealous! Give me the co-ed gym anyday.....

I wouldn't exactly call an all women's gym oppression in the worst way. Besides, Why on earth would I WANT to train in a gym where there are NO HYUGE, VASCULAR, STRIATED MEN?! Kind of STUPID if you ask me.

Frackal I know that women seem to be a mystery to you, but the problem I think lies not with your inability to understand women, but more with the fact that you are dealing with GIRLS......women do not have these problems. For the record, I'm an old school guy, the way I was brought up. I believe in holding the doors, paying, and what not. I have no problem w/ women receiving equal pay and all, but when that feminist shit comes out and 'everything is men's fault" hits the fan it pisses me off.

"Annoying Gym Guy" has driven many chicks to the world of womens only gym. I know this becuase I personally know of many this has happened to. The MAJORITY of women are non-confrontational and will leave rather than cause a fuss.

And just for your information, every hot chick in my town works at the womens only gym; Personally I wouldnt because I have no troubles being confrontational and I dislike women...the less at the gym the better.

Trying to figure out or come to some consensus about men and women is like wiping your ass with a hoop....its endless.

You are right in that there would probably be an issue with a men only gym....but beleive me...the only reason why I am NOT an "ANGRY FEMINIST" (as BM so quaintly puts it) is because women by and large arent worth my effort. Most of them are so useless they arent worth the spit in my mouth to defend them, and they deserve their own shit to lie in because THEY create it.

Women's Gym- Women are very self-conscious. So they don't want guys starring at them all through out their workouts. I've never hit on any girl in the gym. I mean you sweaty and stinky. That's the first impression you want to make? Don't think so.

Being Latin I was always taught to pay for things and I do. But if a girl offers I don't have a problem with it. As a matter of fact I would enjoy it. No matter how liberal women get they still like to be treated like a queen. So I don't mine showing my girl that she's my queen.

What is relevant, is that society now has this idea the reverse-discrimination is ok.

A women only gym, for WHATEVER REASON, is still for women only, no men.
