So far so good... now for setting this up like my old OS. 1) How the hell do I disable Autorun for CDs? It was so simple in '98, but now I can't find the correct location for this. 2) Why are my directories/files ordered all stupidly? Can I have it alphabetize directories in one section and files in another section? Makes it impossible to find stuff.. Thanks guys, ------------------ BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!!

And... What is the Win2k equivalent of "MSCONFIG" from the Run command line. I'm trying to get all of the useless crap out of my startup, but msconfig is gone. =( -Warik ------------------ BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!!

Go to you start menue/programs/startup and delete the short cuts (make sure they are short cuts first though) If they are not short cuts you have to move them to the appropriate place, usually chosen upon install of the specific program. Go to the tray on the bottom right side and right click on icon, if it can be closed you will have that option. ------------------

chesty, My startup folder is completely empty. I need the system configuration utility (MSCONFIG) to disable the crap... Damn, Win2000 seems to be faster, but it's really taking away my control over my own system. -Warik ------------------ BY THE POWER OF GRAYSKULL!!! |
