That sucks. I got my nose broke really bad in a bar fight a few months ago with a beer bottle. He said the surgery is cosmetic so insurance will not cover it eventhough i cant breath worth a shit. fuck paying that think will get some asshole to nail me and sue his ass.Got better things to spend money on.     | ||

If you tell your doc that it hurts and keep telling him that. Than it won't be cosmetic. Keep going back saying that it feels like their is alot of pressure on the sight. It will work if not go to different doc and tell him how the pressure hurts so bad you can't work of function corectlly. | ||

Tell the DOC that due to the broken nose I constantly get nasal infections and I am sick of not being able to breath. If he asks you why not go on some antibiotics...tell him that you do not feel that ASntibiotics will fix the problem in the long run. GO SEE ANOTHER DOCTOR... | ||

I had surgery on my nose before...Septeoplasty and whatever they call it when they cut back your sinus ducts....Anyway, complain to another dr about what happened getting your nose broke, then keep telling him that it's causing your life to tumble downward deteriorating your quality of life, and that you are not able to live and function normally due to your inability to breath from your nose.... and with all those key insurance words: Quality of life, deteriorating(spelling), to live and function normally...You should be able to talk a new dr into it. If all else fails tell them it's starting to put a strain on your mental health, and don't make it sound to extreme or they might lock you up for observation... | ||

Find a different Doc. The Doc should want to perform the operation.(they do work for money) A good Dr. will be able to submit a request to your insurance company explaining that it is medically necessary. Most insurances consider reconstructive surgery as necessary as opposed to cosmetic surgery. For example if you are burned badly and need a skin graft then they should cover that. If you want breast implants then that is cosmetic so they won;t pay. Good luck! | ||

Your doc is out of his mind- The fact that you can't breathe well immediately makes it an insurance claim. Theres a big difference between fixing a broken nose you cant breathe through and deciding you just want to change your looks. One is insurance/ other is cosmetic. Find another doctor. | ||

If you pay yourself, the doc gets 4500, if your insurance company pays, he probably winds up with 3500 because of a "reasonable fee" agreement he made with them when he began accepting insurance. That is why he wants you to pay cash. Find another doctor. Puc | ||

That is BS, my brother played college Baseball, got hit is the nose with a ball at about 95 mph. Fucked him up. Insurance payed for everything. Call your insurance co. and explain, they will tell you if he is full of it or at least another Dr. to see. | ||

Find another Dr. who LISTENS! Most of those fucks can't and won't listen. They have all kinds of shit running through there brain while your seeing him. No wonder they don't listen. I have the same shit going in my life and they don't want to screw with me, so if I were you I would find one who listens and understands your problem. Then the wording to the insurance company should clarify the situation that it is not cosmetic. Good luck!! |
