Every american takes a beating?
Say what?

I don't get that logic at all.
I'm sure there are guys like Frank Shamrock who would seriously disagree with that statement.

Give me a break. I seriously doubt you know anything about it. As a matter of fact, why dont you go ahead and tell us how great you are and how you are a master of Vale Tudo. Anyone that needs someone else to train them how to fight isnt very tough. I learn from experience not from some washed up, trophy loving fag.

Learn from experience?
You can't learn submission and grappling by being in a few street fights. That has about as much legitimacy as watching the UFC on tv or on VHS and saying you know submission. Most of the guys on this board who train in some form of hybrid martial arts whether it be Shootfighting, Vale Tudo, Pancrase, or whatever, have what I'm sure are very good teachers. These guys obviously aren't training at your typical family-fun Tae kwon do or karate schools okay? I don't know where your attitude spawns from, but it sucks. You yourself are a boxer and yet you have the audacity to be critical towards mixed martial artists. Sounds to me like you're the one who doesn't know what he's talking about.
You go fight in your three minute rounds and let the rest of us choke people like you out in peace.

You dont know what youre talking about, youve seen too much TV, Vale Tudo is for mentally disabled crazy motherfuckers who sometimes die fighting and were born in shit holes so fighting is the only way they know to make it throught... they probably were abused by their parents when they were younger...

Crazythug, that is no way to welcome a newbie to this board. It is blatantly obvious that you are full of shit. This guy came to the board to meet people of similar interests to himself with no attitude at all.
If you ever faught in Vale Tudo you would know that technical knowledge learnt in a class helps but is not the be all and end all. You have to be a natural born fighter to suceed in it anyway with that level of competition. Competitors are from various cross training backgrounds, most have faught on the streets anyway. You have to have the street fight mentality to do well at it and as said before submission techniques cannot be learnt on the street.
I have been in many street fights and this is the closest thing to it.
