I was on my way to get a keg with two friends of mine that night. One guy was driving, I was in the passenger's seat and there was another guy in the back seat. Right when we turned onto a very busy road in my town the dude driving fuckin' had a seizure. He was so stiff...his hands weren't on the wheel and both his feet were pushing on the gas pedal. I was freaking out!!! The guy in the back had one hand on the driver's feet trying to get them off the gas, and he had the other hand driving the car. Because the driver's feet were on the gas pedal we were going 85 MPH. We ran THREE red lights in a 500 yd. space, and almost slammed into the back of FIVE STOPPED cars. I have never been so scared in my entire life. Luckily, the guy from the back seat was aware enough to turn the car off. In the meantime, though, we almost hit cars and a stop sign (which I would have been sliced in half by because it was on my side). After the car finally stopped the guy seizured for 3 more minutes. I had gotten out of the car and was trying to wave people down for someone to stop, but all the people were just honking at me...I couldn't believe it.

Well, it took me about 3 hours to calm down from that...I am lucky to be here cause if we had hit one of those stopped cars going as fast as we were, I sure as hell would have been either majorly fucked up or dead. Made me realize that God had to be in the car with me or else I would not be here. Thank goodness for my faith.

Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Glad you are ok. Why was he driving if he could have seizures?

OH, yeah....I was flipping out...

I was surprised that I didn't pass out right there. I still shudder when I get in the car. It gives me chill bumps to think about. Uhhhh.....

Well, when he FINALLY calmed down, we asked him if he remembered anything and he said no. He said this had never happened to him before. I know it was a seizure and not a blackout b/c he was foaming at the mouth. It was scary.

Why didn't you just take his feet off the pedal and hit the brakes or just pull the emergency brake? It would've been easy to do if you were riding shotgun.

Latimer- I couldn't...his body was so stiff that his feet were literally glued to the pedal. When someone has a seizure, their strength is 5X what it normally is. Also, the emergency brake was on his side. None of us had been drinking at all. It freaked me out...whew...

Wow, scary shit, glad you are all ok. I have epilepsy myself and in Canda you automatically lose your licence for a year if you have a seizure and end up under a doctor's care. They are obligated to report you. Do they know why he seizured?
