I was wondering if any of you guys own a sportbike?
I just bought a 2001 Yamaha R1 Champions Edition, only 1000 made in the world.

Lets see who owns a death machine on here!

2000 RC51. I am actually in the process of trying to sell it right now. A little to much of a bike for me right now. The limited edition R1 is awesome. Post a pic if you have one. Very pretty bike.

Hey man is there a reason why you're getting rid of the bike, that's a awesome bike but the only reason why I didn't get it it's because it's a twin. I hate a V-Twin sound but most V-Twins looks awesome TL1000R, Ducati's and RC51.
Are you planning on getting anything else after you sell your Honda?

Well I used to ride the sport bikes, but I got rearended by a pizza driver and now have a artificial hip. (OUCH)

I did dream a few nights ago and I was just tearing up the street in Portland, OR. Great dream as I have them occassionally and they are just plain fun.

Be careful out on the street, it is too fucking dangerous now for me.

Well I can't hang with you guys, but I've got a '92 FZR600. It's my first street bike. It was a good first bike, but I'm definately ready for something faster.

A sweet 98 BMW R1200c, black and chrome. Owned everything, Jap bikes, Harleys, couple beemers and I can honestly say I love anything with handlebars. As they say if its got tits or wheels it's going to cost you money and cause you problems!! Later, Galen

Haze- The bike is still just a little to much for me. I am keeping her close hopefully. My goood friend is trying to get financing as we speak. I am interested in 900rr 929, R6, and a GSXR750. I just want to get a better feel of where my skills are. I have had way to many friends in accidents. I do ride well within my limits but the RC had some juice if you know what I mean. The R1 is really awesome. Oh yeah I may go look at the f4i but there is something that I just do not like about the looks.

STORM - Get the GSX750R 2000+, that's one of the only bike I have respect for, it's fucken fast as hell, RC51 you have to watch with that one because of the sweet torque it tends to go up easy just like the TL1000R.

I went for the R1 because it's the most dangerous bike out there, if you don't respect it, it will bite you back and I need a bike I respect and can't go to crazy or I'll kill myself. I'm also 6 feet tall and 265 pounds so I need a bit more torque so the R1. I have mpeg videos of all sort of bike, so if you want some I can send you some, pretty crazy video!!!!

Anyone here from the Toronto Region?

Haze- send some my way big man. Check out my bike on my link. The back tire is a little low from setting in the garage all winter I assume. I like the GSXR a lot but they are all over the place. I'll keep ya posted bro. Take care.

Something I never understood: A bike will only go as fast as you make it go. Why get rid of it for something smaller. Even then, you're only talking tenths of a second on acceleration, and a few MPH on the top end. Honestly, I don't know but maybe two or three people that can outride a GOOD 600. Look at the R6, quicker lap times than the R1. Keep what you got and learn a little self control, you'll be fine.
