I'm getting a great deal on my pictures. There's a friend a of friend who's doing my pictures next week. He kinda owes my friend a favor so he's just charging me $100 for my pictures. ------------------     | ||

I know!!! I got friends in good places. I was hoping to hear a price of maybe $200. Of course I was giddy when I heard it was just gonna cost me $100. The shoot will be at a resort. Some outdoor and indoor pics. 2 or 3 rolls (not sure). I'm hype. I gonna get some new shirts this weekend. | ||

JohnnyO, I probably will upload them. I'm getting the pics done for my comp card obviously but I'll probably make myself a kinda e-comp card by putting up them on a website. I met with another agent to and she said she wanted to hurry up and get my pics together so she can start working on getting me work. | ||

100$ for the shoot is a real sweet deal, but what are the prints going to cost you? Will it be color or B&W (color is always more expensive). How many changes will he shoot? (In other words, how many looks - you have to show versatility). From 2 or 3 rolls how many usable shots will you realistically get? You will only use the ONE best or max TWO for your portfolio and (only ONE) subsequent comp - YOU WILL NEED ONE GOOD HEADSHOT and at least two to four other good body shots, each w/a diff look if possible. Since you will be just starting out it will be more acceptable to have a couple of diff shots of you in the same outfit/look. I'm sure the agency already advised you about this, but you should have at least one body shot (shirt off) and two other clothed looks, perhaps one casual and one more dressy (jacket and dress slacks for example...perhaps wear glasses w/it to give you a diff look). And remember - even the most well composed shot is WORTHLESS if you are poorly lit!....and there ain't NOTHIN' worse than that dreaded shine. Will your friend be able to help you w/makeup? YES, FRIENDS MALE MODELS WEAR MAKEUP TOO! If you have any other questions, give me a holler Brotha Show.
