The only place I have ever been where other than Asia where I could not understand a word they said. Imagine a quick talking New Yorker speaking to a Southern draw person. Asked for directions 3 times and did not understand one person. Vey nice folks who are very friendly they just can't talk. And as I walked through the airport dressed from head to toe in Dolce Gabbana including my sun glasses and in my full pumptitude they just gawked. Must have though I was a star or maybe Goldberg. Funny shit.     | ||

it's not that bad! really! most of us can speak where we can be understood. several of the surrounding counties have really bad accents though. i go to school with several people that i can't understand. | ||

Please the majority of people around talk as if they have a load of shit in their mouths. Don't worry flexed, you learn how to translate "bubba" fairly quickly. As far as the gawking goes -- your considered a foreigner if you are not wearing flannel. ------------------ No matter how hard you work, there is always someone working harder. | ||

maybe those of you who live can help me. I am to look at houses in franklin and another new area that starts with a B. Do these places look different than the airport area? Went to 8th avenue and there where some nice houses down there but I like new money. Any help here? | ||

Flexed: Franklin is a nice area, but there are a lot of older homes there. What kind of price range are you looking at? If you are looking for a little wealthier area with some newer construction, then I would suggest the Brentwood or Belleview areas. Each are approximately 15 minutes from the downtown. Let me reasure you that those areas look much different from the area around the airport and 8th avenue. ------------------ No matter how hard you work, there is always someone working harder. | ||

would first find a townhouse to get settled in and than a house in the 350 range. I think Brentwood and Belview where the mentioned areas. thanks | ||

Damn -- nice range to be looking in. Does your company need any legal help or HR work -- if they do I am your man. Ha, ha -- sorry, had to throw that in there. If you are looking in the 350 range -- brentwood and belleview are the areas you want to be. You will also be able to find twon houses in each of those areas as well. 350 in nashville will go a LONG way! sorry to tell you, if your not talking to an accented bubba, it will be a mexican who speaks very broken english... see south east nashville. |
