I hate my parents because..... they blame all their problems on me, not on all the drinking that goes on in my house. Also, i get yelled at consistantly for making my mother upset, yet they don't care that they make my 10 year old sister cry almost daily.They get made at me for wearing revealing clothes, and i think they are jealous because i got the good genetics.

when I was younger, I used to always get into fights with my parents, but we have all gotten more mature over the years and are much closer now...those teenage years are always a bitch for alot of families tho | ||

I used to hate my dad and wished he was dead...now he is dead (ohhhhh you wanna talk GUILT???) so I dont have to hate him anymore....I think of all the good stuff now. My mom wasnt worth hating..she never contributed enough to my life to warrant it...now we get along...like strangers who work toghether. My brother I adore and would lay my life down for. | ||

daised - I don't know how old you are, but I can tell you that my parents and I have had our differences over the years. There was the rebellious teenage years, the drug abuse in my 20's... Through thick and thin they were always there for me, willing to scoop me up and help me get pointed in the right direction, (again and again). Did I "hate" my parents? Hell no. I didn't understand them, nor they me, but hate is way too strong of a word to use when discussing your FRUSTRATION. Please, do yourself a favor and learn some tolerance towards your parent's "old fashioned" ways. You will be glad in the end. (and you never know when the end will come) | ||

LOL..I got reamed for that once...then I learned. I dressed exactly the way my dad wanted me to, put my other clothes in a bag and left with the old guy none the wiser. I then changed whereever I went....Now I see the point HE was deluded into making, but I NEVER dressed slutty...you could not see my navel, or cleavage...I just had the '80's Nikki Sixx hair, ripped up jeans, bandannas...LOL..those were the days....if I was dressed slutty I could completely agree, but even 17 years later I gotta disagree. | ||

Leave her alone....We all had this feeling of rage from our parents. Especially when we didnt get what we wanted from them. Im sure she doesnt really hate her parents, like she said, she was just venting about her frustrations at the time. Her comments were based on her anger and im sure she loves her parents when it comes down to it. Kev | ||

I guess I would die for my parents. I know without a doubt I would for my father. I guess I would out of duty for my motherbut, just have to say I really dislike the woman. How many people can say that they have had thier own mother put a shotgun in thier face. We have never gotten along. | ||

I dont... couldnt ask for a getter set. Isnt there like a "oh wo is me" teen site or something? I hear this shit all the time from daneise and danephew, now here. Always blaming their parents for their insignificant problems. "Mom, wont let me dress like I want, talk on the phone, let me use HER car... blah blah blah." Wait till your an adult, think you have problems now. Shit, youll be crawling back to your parents when your alchoholic, drug crazed ass doesnt have a place to live or food to eat. | ||

i don't hate them because they don't give me everything i want. i hate them because of how much they have hurt me, my sisters, my friends, their friends, and the company they own. i can deal with what they do to me it's hard, but i'll manage. what i hate is when they scream at my younger sisters for no reason. they make them cry almost every night. my 10 yr old sister doesn't feel like she is loved. that is fucked up! oh, and by the way i know i don't fit in on this post but i still use this chat site because no one takes shit and forms their own opinions i like that. i'm just trying to broaden my horizens. | ||

i don't hate my parents. never have, never will. i fully accept the fact that for boring Calvinist people who love me very much for what i'd consider the wrong reasons, it's been very very difficult living with a moody depressive inflexible asshole like me, who rejected just about all their conditioning upon reaching the age of reason. but i see where you're coming from, sounds like you have a hard road. ------------------ | ||

actually for all thoses who say i need counseling, i see a therapist. she always say things like, " well, this has to do with your parents, who we can try to change but it probably won't happen. So we need to change how you deal with them." almost everyone that knows my parents, say its not me it them, but in their eye i am the cause of all their problems. | ||
