they say i would make shit... 6.50 an hour while working for them... that is showing new comers how to use stuff.... but when i train customers who pay for it, i'd make 20 an hour.... i LOVE substitute teaching, but come late may/early june.... i'm fucked ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

u should try it out... its above minimum wage and you get to do what you love.. but it all depends on how many hours u can get in a week.. u should give it a shot. ![]() ![]() ![]()

No. You can probably teach summer school in the district somewhere. Don't be a trainer. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well.... $6.50 an hour is not a whole lot. 20 an hour to train people....hmmm..... Any client you will get is probably a new member. But no one joins in the summer - Winter and early Spring are the most common joining times. Gyms are emptier in the summer, because casual fitness people (the majority of members) would rather be outside. Serious fitness people, who get to teh gym every day, are not going to hire a trainer. So where will your client base come from? Next, even if you get 10 clients twice a week, then you are training 20 hours a week, which is $400. That's a lot of work for not that much money. And that is an overly optimisitc estimate - as discussed above, no one gets a trainer in the summer. Further, you're going to be picking up weights and cleaning up cardio equipment for $6.50 an hour. Where's the upside here? There is none. You acn find work as a summer school teacher. Full timers want the time off....next time you are subbing, ask one of the regular teachers....they will probaby be more than happy to point you in the right direction if it will get them more time off. MAD - You like teaching. if you becaome a trainer you will waste threemonths of your life for no money. I know because I did it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
