Sure. But they (and anything heavier) are a pain to kick up. Since I don't have a training partner, I usually use the Hammer Strength shoulder press

No partner here either, makes getting the heavy DB's up to the shoulder damn near impossible. When going heavy I stick mostly to seated barbell shoulder press and the Hammer machine. I'll do lighter barbells for higher reps for a change of pace every so often.

When I was natural at 170 I could clean the 95's and do 3-4 reps standing. At the time I was doing alot of olympic lifting, so the overhead stuff was easy.

Now Hugh is alot bigger but not much stronger

A trick of the trade. You know the platforms they have for step arobics. Put to of them parallel to your military bench, have two people step on them and hand you the weight at the bottom position of the lift. Try clearing 125lb dumbells by yourself, your asking to smoke your rotator cuff!

Well Freak Daddy,

As of now I am at the light weight of 211lbs And Bf% at 7%. A far cry from where I was at 236. Damn flu.LOL Actually I said the Herman Thing because it remineded me of my old coach who just passed. I meant do dissregard Just thinking of what he would have said. If thats your best lift or was your goal congratulations. As of last night I was pushing 315 for 5 Granted I hurt like hell today but Thats what I'm trainning for is strenght right now. We all have different goals for lifting good luck I meant no harm.

no harm brother jay!! 315 is major weight! i'm sure you will agree, that there are alot of people who make remarks like thats weights nothing, or i can do more than that! most of them weigh 20-50 lbs more than you and are only doing 5-10 lbs more than you! so that's where the pound for pound comes in! that just fires me up! as for goals, i set none! the skys the limit! sorry to hear of your coach passing!!!

I can get the 80lbs dumbells up once. I am only 18 so I am getting there. I don't really know how to judge how long it takes to gain strength but I bet I could get the 95 pounders up by summer. What do you guys think?

ive done 95s before, clean. im using 75-80s right now for reps, after i do militarys. i only go up to 155 in militarys cause...its damn scary to get buried with that shit on your shoulders. hehe. ( i train alone)

i may have to hit up some dbells when im fresh just to see how it goes.

slightly off subject....drop sets rock with dbells, or dropping to arnold presses. ssssmooookin' hehe.

Don't you hate having to stand on benches just to get to the pullup bar? Not being able to dunk even though you have a big vertical? Dancing with tall chicks in heels? The list goes on....

Im doing 85's for sets of 7-10 reps (after chest workout) on a swiss exercise ball. My goal is to get the 100's for 5 or 6 reps.
I've used 110's for reps on a regular DB press but I find when I go too heavy I dont get any benefit from it.
