tricks and techniques for setting yourself up for d.bell presses, incline presses, or any other seated overhead movement! instead of cleaning to get set up, set down on the seated bench your going to use, and put the de.bells on the end of your quads(right above the knee)and kick the d.bells up to your shoulders. do them one at a time. i could'nt even imagining doing it any other way! it will probably take a little practice, but it will be much easier! ------------------

it will probably put some bruises on your quads, but a little pain is fine with me! just remember to do them one at a time! ------------------

Absolutely! Can you kick up the 120's? The concentration is almost more work than the set itself!

Good idea, i will have to try that. That first rep is a bitch to get up without blowing out your shoulder! ------------------

Usually no problem for the chest exercises, but the bigger dumbbells are a bitch to get up for the shoulder press.

cool, I'll try that kick thing next time. Of course when I'm done I'll still drop the 90's from the top to make a big crash and show everyone how "hardcore" I am! (jeezus, I hate it when people do that)

It is all in the technique. Practice with lighter weights first and work your way up. |
