Answer me one question. Where did we all come from? The bible has never ever been proven wrong by anybody and trust me many have tried.There is more documented proof that Jesus Christ existed than there is about Abraham Lincoln.And for all you scientists out there.It was scientists who PROVED the sun was the center of the universe.It was scientists that PROVED the earth was flat.It's not a matter of being right or wrong it's just a matter of waiting until your proven wrong. ------------------     | ||

1) No one is disputing the existence of Jesus Christ. He DID exist - period. The thing that is being disputed is whether or not Christ is the son of God and rose from the dead after the crucifixion. 2) Scientists did not prove that the Sun was at the center of the universe, nor did they prove that the Earth was flat. If something is PROVEN, then it can't be "un-proven." For example, it has been proven that 2 = 2. That will never be disproven. Scientists stated that the Earth was flat and that the Sun was at the center of the universe due insufficient evidence to state otherwise. In fact, SCIENTISTS were the ones who proved that the Sun was NOT at the center of the universe and that the Earth was NOT flat. I believe in a Supreme Being. For argument's sake, let's call Him God. Is He the God spoken of in the Bible and by all of the churches around the world? No, He is not. What do I know about God? I know that through Him all things became possible. I am grateful for that every day and I hope that when I leave this planet I can expect similar or better things, but do I go around preaching His word (which has been spoken to no one) or go around saying "pray! God will help you if you pray hard enough!" No! I don't. God gave humanity free will. If He suddenly gives stuff to people who "pray hard enough," then where is the free will? And if there's no free will, then everything is already predetermined anyway, so why try to push my beliefs on others if what I do isn't going to change anything because it's already predetermined? Scientist did prove in fact both those things then ofcourse afterwards others scientists proved otherwise.They were just unproven later on. And all religions have some sort of higher being.BTW his word has been spoken to people obviously.Otherwise how would we know God existed if he never told anyone.No where in the bible does it state that God will give you stuff if you pray hard enough.In fact some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers.There is proof of his resurrection.It is well documented in more than just the bible, but in Roman and other groups historical records. ------------------ | ||

I'm assuming that all of these religion posts are just one guy under different usernames that is sitting around in his dorm room with friends cracking up at how riled up he is getting people. It is called "trolling". My friends and I used to do it senior year of college - sit around and get drunka nd play starcraft - we'd go into the chat rooms and start fights. it is mostly 13 year olds and they are really touchy to having their sexuality questioned, so we'd just go into every board and ask if this really was the gay board and who was the gayest. the reaction was very similar to religion on this board - people just went nuts. Anyway - back to the dumbest quote I've ever seen on this board. The fact that we have a dead body, photos - and the whole "he was president of the United States" is kind of a lot of documentation in the face of your statement. I'm not sure how you can say that there is more proof that Jesus existed over Abe - but you are smoking some major crack there. The one thing I really don't get - it is fine by me if you want to say that there is a God and he is great. Fantastic. And it is fine by me if you want to say that he created all of us. Great - you go boy. yeah, you gotta feel bad for the several billion chinese that are just going to burn in hell b/c they have a whole different religion. man, I just had a major realization - life is perfect - praise jesus. I don't need to try in this life anymore, and I don't need to learn anything else either. I can just fuck up over and over again in a shitty life here on earth - apologize for it - and I am set when I die. but I can't kill myslef b/c that is cheating and I'd get there too early and you can't have that (and then I couldn't pay taxes and work for the people in charge - oops, I forgot that religion was devised by a supreme deity and not the ruling class). anyways, this will likely be one of my last posts against a troll. it saddens me to see there are so many naive people out there. I at times felt stupid in some of my classes in college - but I've never felt like more of a genius than when reading some of the jackass posts on this board. ------------------ | ||

I don't deny that Jesus of Nazareth existed. I deny that he was the son of a god. The world was created in 7 days? Adam and Eve were two white folks living in Africa? Adn where did the rest of the popluation come from if there wasnt any incest? |
