I was trying to develop an on-line business. I would be the only person involved in all aspects of the business. And it would be strictly on-line, i.e. no physical storefront. Does anyone know if I would need a tax ID or a business liscense? I have contacted two banks and I cannot get a straight answer....when they answer, it sounds like they are giving me the "general" pitch. It sounds like they are not sure themselves. Any help would be appreciated.     | ||

You need a buis. license in your state/county and a tax id number. | ||

Go down to your county clerk's office and they'll give you all the information you need. Banks won't really help you out with that kind of stuff. | ||
