Have we reached the bottom yet? I read yesterday about a couple of new ones. "I want a Divorce!" Where contestants degrade their spouse in hopes of coming up with a big payday and annulment. Then there is a show about 10 convicts that have to plot a successful escape from e "real" prison. Come on! What's next? maybe a real gladiator competition with real blood, mayhem and death! Pay-per-view executions? It's going to be a strange world ahead of us. ------------------     | ||

How about this.... Two contenstants in are selected to hunt each other down. The one left alive wins a million bucks. You do it in international waters, no one has jurisdiction and each contest claims self defense since you are both trying to kill each other!

You might be joking but that shit will happen one of these days. Think about it, there was no Temption Island 10 years ago. Imagine what will be on TV in 10 years from now. American society (or the world society for that matter) craves more and more stimuli to entertain us. The demand for more "over the top" progamming (i.e. WWF, Howard Stern, Temptation Island, Jackass) increases every year. Get used to it. The Running Man could come true. | ||

I was just thinking about Running Man. Convicts trying to escape from prison, gladiators, people hunting each other.... c'mon you wouldn't watch it? I'd be glued to that shit. That's what I call entertainment. The Romans were on to something. |
