I get so sick of hearing lazy people's pathetic excuses as to why they do not lift, or do certain exercises because they will get to big etc. I trained this one good sized guy. Had great upper body but legs sucked!!! He would rarely ever let me train his legs. When I did, he barely made it through the workout and did not lift very much weight! When I asked him why he never trained legs, he said cause they get to big really quick and so he can't train them. Now cmon are you kiddin me. Same thing with a lot of women, they are afraid if they lift more than 3lbs weights they will get like vicki gates or something! Is it me or does like everyone have these stupid excuses not to hit the weights???? Ok I am done ranting now | ||

Yes, I agree. My friend at school is 6'2 and 215 (had to lose for wrestling). I asked him if he trains legs and he said "no, the girls don't look at your legs." That to me is pathetic, the way I look at it is who gives a shit about what the girls think. I am not in it for some ditzy bitch to like me. (Not referring to any of the women on here). If they do like me It will be because of my personality more than anything. I was talking to a guy last night at the gym in the locker room, I was telling him tonight I had to do deadlifts and some assistance work and he said "Yeah, my life is defined enough, I don't need my muscles to be defined too." He also said "I'm not in this for looks, i'm in this for....pizza and...bacon...and...." Of course he is a newer memeber and probably is not as serious about lifting. ------------------ | ||

My friend told me that he doesn't train legs because he "used to play basketball 5 hours a day" and that "when he starts playing again, his legs will get huge." thats BS of course girls look at LEGS and asses.. i mean thats like if i saw a chick and i didnt check out her ass.. come on now its a givin.. guys who dont train legs are jsut in it for the looks not the fitnes.. they wanna be a calvin clein model and have a 6 pack and that looks pretty damn funny on chicken legs.... those who only work upper bod are what i call POSERS ------------------ | ||

Most people at my gym's idea of a leg workout is 5 sets of 10 on the cybex seated squat press machine. Then they try to tell you that they squat 500 plus, even though its a machine. That pisses me off. No one does squats on a regular basis except me. And I am the only one i know that deadlifts. | ||

These clowns that don't want to train legs are what I like. Less competition for me when a girl checks out my ass. Every girl I've dated and/or spoken to insists they look at a guys ass like we look at a girls ass. No it won't get huge, the glutes don't widen, they grow outward (pointing back), lol, I'm not sure if I explained it right. You won't get an ass like some fatso. And, it really stands out when you're wearing swimming trunks and have some mean leg development. As far as the functional aspects and benefits of leg training, I won't even start. | ||

"I don't squat b/c of my knees." Mostly every kid I know says this and only one of them really has something wrong with his knees. To me nothing is better than not being able to walk after a leg workout. ------------------ |
