I've just eaten a meal of cold egg whites. It tasted gross. Yesteray the egg whites in my rice porridge congealed - real vomit material. And have you tried swallowing raw egg whites (yeah, I do know about salmonella)? I'm trying to cut back on meat and eat 14 egg whites a day, going up to a couple of dozen soon. I can tolerate it but has anyone got any ideas to make it more tolerable and palatable? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

You can try egg white omelettes or scramble them, cuts out the monotony. I've been using the egg beaters and scrambling them in the morning. It helps to add a little salt, so drink a lot af water. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Can't help you with egg white recipes and I wouldn't touch 'em raw. but do you know about the "Mornigstar" brand vege-meat products? They're nationwide in most large grocieries now, usually in the breakfast section. The soy-Chicken nuggets are the best, and the Buffalo wings are good and spicy. Some of the soy-"beef" patties tast ok but I'm not big on their texture. 0 colesterol, high protien, low carb. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

switch proteins....studies have shown that cooked egg white protein is not absorbed effectively by the human intestine anyhow, about 85%, although not that percent is not too bad, if on top of that your sick of it....try something different like turkey, or protein powders ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Gilly ...wanna hear my turkey tips?...no...well too bad...if cooking a entire turkey, cook upside down (breast down) and put an onion in it for flavor....it allows fo rthe juices to drain down to the white meat makes it very moist...tastey... However, I'm a big fan of just the frozen breasts (cause I don't like to eat dark meat)....cook it, slice it...maybe use a little gravey...dinner is served...plus out of all proteins, turkey breast fills me up the most ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I buy pastuerized egg whites called "all whites". They come in 16oz cartons and have 10 servings per container. 5grams of protein per serving, no cholesterol, no fat. They taste fine to me, I mix 8oz with my Whey protein (which has no flavor added ala proteinfactory.com)blend and drink. No carbs and no fat. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nutzz has got it right. The egg whites in the carton are perfect for just throwing in with your protein shake. Particularly if you're drinking it with water only, it adds a little thickness to the shake and to me it made it taste better too. I agree with you though, I'm in week six of a cutting cycle and the first three weeks I ate 10 egg whites each morning with my oatmeal. Disgusting to say the least. delts ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
