I still have my Cisco job so I'm definately not in a jobless / moneyless position as some of my friends .. HOWEVER

.. what options do I have? can I still file for unemployment? (probably not). THey owe me a vacation, 2 weeks pay, and probably some 401K contributions they didn't contribute.

if you still have another job, then I'm thinking you can't claim unemployment. and if they are going bankrupt, then they have to payback the highest priority things first, and I'm willing to bet you aren't the highest priority - so I'd say you can kiss all that goodbye.

also I should point out that my official level of expertise in this field (the legalities of corporate bankrupcy) is right around... none.

in reference to both havoc and thick dog, I should point out that sticking with porn might be okay as well - porn too has brought a smile to my face...

Johnny happyscrappy is pretty much hitting it on the nail with this one, the contributions that are in arrears may not be collectable however your current account balance should be ok.

Hmm... I've called the 401K people and asked if I could cash out, and they said that CLC asked to hold on cashing out existing 401K information.

CLC? I have a friend who worked at CLC. He got the bad news yesterday. Fortunately he saw it coming and has sent out a billion resumes over the course of the last week.

Now he's getting $300/wk for free via unemployment. My weekly salary for the job I have is laughable. (No, I'm not a supermarket bag boy or fast food guy whining about minimum wage... my pay REALLY sucks!)

Have fun at Cisco JohnnyO, lucky bastard.
