I have a friend who has no insurance and he was passed out all alone in his yard ---a neighbor called an ambulance and they brought him the emer. room----was in ICU for 1/2 day----------well my question is this he is looking at about a 6500 bill-------He doesnt want to hurt his credit but 6500 is alot to pay out considering that if it happend in his house --he would have just came to and been all set----Are their any lawyers out their or anyone with hospital bills that know of a way to deal with this tab---- ![]() ![]() ![]()

I really don't think that there is anything he can do but pay the bill. But tell him to talk with the finance dept. They are pretty good about setting up a payment plan based on his salary. I have had some pretty hefty bills dealing with the hospital even with insurance, and they worked with me, so I would not go in the whole because of the bill. Unless the hospital did something wrong, they are not at fault for anything, therefore he will have to pay it. I may be wrong about this, but I dated a lawyer for about six years and learned a little bit about some of this stuff. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
