My gf informed last night that I have a bubble ass and that she has a complex because it sticks out more than hers. I have never had bootay in my entire life but I think a year's worth of squats has taken it's toll. I can now say that I have back. How is everyone else's ass doing who squats consistently? I realize that the nature of this thread opens me up to countless gay ass jokes but I am blazed so feel free to entertain me if you must. ------------------ | ||

Same problem - only squat every two weeks on Smith Machine. Leg press on days when I don't squat. If you lay off squats be sure to do some good mornings or something that directly targets the spinal errectors. | ||

Mines just getting better, not bigger. I read somewhere that "ass to the floor" squats is what causes it because you then stop putting the emphasis on your quads and bring your butt into play. (No pun intended) | ||

Due to always lifting at home w/ only DB's and a curl bar I have just recently started squatting since I joined the gym. My booty isn't bigger yet but definatley getting tighter and always hurst when I do my bi-weekly squats. BTW how much are you guys squatting? I'm used to training legs with only power movements (cleans, DLs, heavy full squats) and while I can move some very big weights, my upper legs measurement is only 25". Couldn't figure this out, so I asked one of the competing bbers what the problem was. He said "turn sideways and look in the mirror....you have the biggest ass in this gym." Very sobering realization. I now pre-exaust the hams or quads whenever I train them. | ||

Hugh--Me too! Developed a big ass early on---Its just that my hamstring dev. was so poor---Its getting their but still got a ways to go! I know this old pro. he used to be in the late 80s-early 90s---had the most unreal hamstrings---When he trained legs,that is what he focused on at all times---he usually only did about6-10 sets for quads after training hams first. Most of your state and even national comp. have awesome quads but really lack hams and usually their is one guy with awsome hams and it just makes his legs look so much more impressive! So for all the guys out their with big asses (dont worry about it) just bring up the hams to even it out! usually the diet will take care of the rest! Next time you see one of the top 10 olympia comp. guest posing ---take a look at them dressed ---their asses are 3 ax handles wide---but when they get on stage ---it is lost! | ||
