When you get up in the morning and you don't have to force anything on yourself or contemplate all the things you don't have or you're reaching for. When you do it all, cuz you fucking feel like it. ------------------ "how much can you really know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?" Tyler Durden ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Good replies. I was thinking more along the lines of your career. Do you consider yourself successful based on how much money you make OR do you base it on how fulfilled your "job" makes you.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

see success and happiness are 2 different things for me...I can be success ful, and not be very happy...a succes is merely acheiving something that was once percieved and unobtainable.....I perfer to choose my successful pursuits in areas that make me happy however..... example....I meet Russel Crow...I make him randy for my mind and body and soul...he wants me ...I get him...I'm both successful in acheiving something I onced percieved as unobtainable, and very very VEERY happy..... Another example....I get my MBA....I am succesful in obtaining it but the happiness levels could not even compare to Russel [This message has been edited by AGENT SHAGWELL (edited January 18, 2001).] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well Id measure succes by personal happiness. But between your two Id probably pick passion most likely youll make money if your passionate about something (and want to make cash) - I just hope Im not passionate about an endangered butterfly. ------------------ For a good time click here: Search and Profiles (300Kleens Board) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Money = freedom. Freedom allows you to challenge yourself in ways you previously could not have. That can be very rewarding. It is not hard to make money. All you need is a little courage. My defintion of success is: What is the answer to this question: "Is my performance the very best it could be"? If yes...success. If not....improve. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

True success is when you dont know what is work and what is not! When your job is not a job but something that you love to do! When a clock does not dictate your life! Very few reach true success---we get caught up on what society thinks is success, and alot of people measure themselves on what other people do with their lifes. If you truly love yourself and can give love to other people then you have success that cant be matched. ![]() ![]() ![]()

When I was a senior in college, I was thinking what the hell I Was going to do with my life - and all my friends around me were going off to be IBankers or management consultants and starting at $50K a year, I was thinking - well, as long as I'm doing what I like, who cares what I make. Then I got a job making more then what I was expecting - and what they were making. This thrilled me and I quickly wanted more money - I left that job for one paying much more and I am still there loving what I do - butI think I still want more money. apparently for me, it is the money that defines me b/c I am doing the sort of thing I want... it is just a matter if I can get more for doing it? And Shagwell - one of the guys I work with - his wife's best friend is an acctress and she was the leading lady to Russell Crowe in that cheesy hockey movie (I think she was also the wife in Howard Stern's movie). Anyway, she dated Russell during the filming of the movie - as do most leading couples during the shoots - and she now says he is a huge raving maniac lunatic and is a connniving manipulative physically abusive bastard. and he likes anal. giving it. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Shadow - Can you procure Mr. Crowe's telephone number for me? What's wrong with liking anal? Have you ever tried it (either top or bottom)?

hey, I didn't say that I had a problem with the anal, I think this woman is just pissed off that she gave him anal an dhten he went off and dumped her for that hottie... whatever her name is - Meg Ryan. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Happy...my mom is also a huge Russel admirer, and reads alot of stuff on actors....apparently this guy has so much sex appeal directors have gone out of there way to prevent their wifes from being on the set the same time Russel is there. Also he is now with Meg Ryan who apparently ploted to get him...she's a very strong woman...not the sweet little naive innocent girl she portrays. I forget what the last movie he was in which he acted with the directors wife, but I'll ask my mom. So I don't believe a word of it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

quote: Shags, Why must you miss my point? Success is, "Am I doing the best I can at this endeavor"? not, "is there more I can do with my life"? There is always more I can do with my life. I am studiyng for three different certifcations or lcenses now - I wish it were more...I mean that. I only have 100 years here or so.....can't do it all but I'll dying..but that isn't what I mean by success.... if you look at it that way you are destined to fail...sometimes I do look at it that way :-(.....but on to the point I was trying to make: For example, you are in school now, pursuing the most overrated degree there is. (MBA) When you get your grades, ask yourself, "did I do the best I could?" if the answer is yes...you have succeeded even with a 2.7 GPA. If the answer is no, you have failed, even with a 4.0 GPA. One thing at a time. Success in one area breeds success in others. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Matt...I did not miss your point dear...just being a smart ass......I guess my pursuit for the "overated" degree has made me a little frisky lately in my posts...also not too busy at work right now. Question: So upon recieving my "overated" degree I will be an overated indivudual....better than being underrated as I am now, because over rated people get payed more, and as you stated money=freedom...so basically I JUST WANT TO BE FREE ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Happy Acrappy...I emailed my mom and the Russel Crow thing...heres what she said.. "It was the movie Gladiators. The woman that was kept off the set when Russell was there was the woman who played his wife in the movie. It was either the director's wife or girlfriend, I think it was girlfriend. You'll notice that in the movie - they don't have any scenes actually together!" A man that that other men must keep their woman away from...has got WICKED KAVORCA....aka...MAD MOJO ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Shags, You won't be overrated. Just your degree. And you might actually be one of the good ones. Only time will tell. I call them overrated because MBAs are the ultimate in lacking vision. The MBA goal is to go out and become an executive and maybe even a CEO one day. In other words, MBAs want to do well with someone else's idea. Big deal!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

quote: I like to see myself as one of the "good ones" My reason for persuing MBA, is to give me the ticket to get into the game. When I get there I will be not only the coach, but also offensive and defense coordinators. But as all great coaches know...listening to their players can help provide alternative views, and insights which may benifit the team that the coach never saw. Happy....sugar please....my mom would turn your happy scrappy tooshie...into just scraps...but no she was not addressing you...she was addressing my question as to which movie it was that the director did not permit his gf to be on the set with him ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

shags, I said "if she were real old" - obviously if she can still beat me up, she is far too young for me. like under 90. I figure, over 90 with a bad hip, I have a good shot at whuppin some ass. that and very small kids - I've only been beaten up at most... 5 times by toddlers. usually I stand a fighting chance ![]() ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

quote: Is that what they told you, dear Shags? That unfortunately is wrong. You will be just another player in someone else's game. The only way to be the coach (and offensive/defensive coordinators) is to start your own business. And that is what MBAs don't do. Surely you have heard of IBM, Novell, Lotus, Netscape, etc. You know what these companies have in common? Failure. Also, MBA leadership. (IBM may have righted the ship but they will never be an industry leader ever again. Novell may finally turn it around but they are an afterthought now.) Likewise, you know Microsoft, Oracle and Dell. Not a college grad among their founders. And they are three of the most successful companies around. MBAs may do OK....if you are OK with $150K a year. But it's so easy to do better, if you have vision. MBAs I know, do not. They just can't wait to buy into the system. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
